[Detailed Champion Concept] Taven, the Unbreakable Chain

Description: Taven is a mid lane assassin that uses his alternating chainsaw arm to hack and slash his opponents and gains modified damage the lower his health bar. He is a lean human with broad shoulders. His attire consists of a ragged grey, torn hooded shirt that has loosely hanging chains wrapped around his right shoulder that drape down and across his torso. His chainsaw is connected to his right upper arm by these chains and is like a bionic arm, replacing the lost forearm and hand. He wears long kaki like army pants that lead down to his dark steel toed boots. Versatile and quick witted, Taven shows zero mercy for his opponents in battle.

P: Berzerker: The lower the health, the higher the multiplication of Taven’s attack damage. [For every 10% health missing Taven’s attack damage is multiplied by 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5]

SAW FORM: Passive: Taven's abilities in saw form leave burning slash marks on the ground for 10 sec that hurt enemy minions/champions while walking over them. WHIP FORM: throws the chain in a curved motion. If it hits a champion it does magic damage, entangling the enemy and rooting them. The chain stops when it hits an enemy or enemy minion but can wrap around terrain and attaches to it at the end of the chain.

W: Saw Mode/Whip Mode Cost: no cost Cool Down Time: 0.8 at all ranks Base Damage: aa modifier Range: aa attack range modified (180/ 480)

Taven attaches/detaches the chain from his saw-arm and now uses the chain as a SAW/WHIP and becomes melee/ranged, altering his other abilities. If activated while a chain is rooting an enemy, minion or hits terrain while in whip mode, it will pull Taven to the END of the chain and switching the form of the weapon in the process. The two different modes share the same cool downs other than the ult, which only has an active in saw mode.

SAW FORM: Holding revs up the chainsaw followed by a vicious dash in the cursor's direction that knocks aside all minions. If it hits a champ it slashes them doing attack damage. WHIP FORM: Taven wraps himself in his own chain giving him a shield for 3 seconds but slowing his movement for the duration.

R: Zero Mercy Cost: SAW 100 mana at all ranks/ WHIP no cost Cool Down Time: SAW 120/100/80 Base Damage: SAW [15% building up to 30% movement speed for 3 sec or until R release] after release of R a 400 dash is activated and deals 275/450/625 (+60% Attack Power) to first struck Champion>Beheading deals 100/200/300 (+30% Ability power)/ WHIP [Passively gets +15% damage to minions and +10% damage to towers] Range: SAW 400 dash range

SAW FORM: Taven drags his chainsaw on the ground and gets a head of steam for 3 seconds and then gets a dash. The first champion he hits gets uppercutted by the saw and launched backwards. If the enemy hits a wall or another enemy champion while going backwards, Taven has the option to reactivate this skill and go in for a second strike, blinking in and doing a spinning strike that "beheads" the opponent. This ability does damage to surrounding enemies on the second strike for 25% of the damage the initial target took. If the dash is missed the ability does no damage but goes on a cool down for half the original time WHIP FORM: Passively gains bonus damage to minions and towers

Lore: I lean my head against the steel rods of my cell as I stare at the lone picture of my daughter Karli, they send a chill down my spine and give me instant goosebumps on the nerves I still have. The feeling reminds me of the mechanical tools used for torture, and I instead decide to lean against the warmer wall as I flash to all the memories of my only reason to live, my only reason to fight. The jail is like a ghost town, motionless, terrifying, holding something back, and the halls frigid and dead, empty. I hear footsteps of a male walking my way outside the cell and I look up and out into the commons below, I want to move but my body, however exhausted, I can’t give an inch. The man comes down the aisle with the smell of death brought with him, the stench of blood stained to his skin like a tattoo. A shadow unlocks the jail cell and I follow his lead out the cell, just like all the other inmates that have made it up to this point prior to me. This is not the first time I have followed him, the sixth actually, with every time being more difficult to forget than the last.

I am led to a door down at the end of my hall and can feel my body start to tense up as the door is opened. Directly in the room is a single metal table consisting of straps and five sets of chains drilled to the wall, along with a bloodied chainsaw from a previous torture lying next to the table. The dark figure I once was behind ushers me in with force and slams me on the table, back first. I can sense his satisfaction at my pain but can’t sustain the damage with my frail body, breaking a rib or two and having shortness of breath and a rapid pulse. I cease to resist and the man laughs and straps me to the machine and harnesses me down with limbs spread abroad. He walks to a control panel and slams the button to begin. I hear the grinding of gears and see the movement of the chains. I finally notice this is no bone breaker, no brutal beating of a night baton. This machine is here to tear me apart, limb for limb.

The chains gently pull and I can see each set of chains, attached to every limb of my body, lose their sag. The pressure begins to amount on my body and the pulling of the chains increases, slowly giving sharp pains to my shoulders and hips as the chains pull farther and farther. My heart is racing and my blood is cycling through my body harder than ever, my skin feeling as if it were rubber. The warden starts laughing as he begins to tease me and slow down the machine for lasting effects. The chains keep tugging and suddenly the chain becomes too much and my right elbow gives, tearing my forearm from its attachment to my upper arm. I scream in wrenching pain and feel my body losing blood quickly. Though with every pint of blood I lose, I feel a growing inner strength residing in me equal to the growing death of my spirit.

With every bit of energy I have, I try to think about Karli and how badly I want to see her. My arm still gushing of blood and agony, I start to resist the machine, attempting to pull the chains and my limbs back to their original position and the chains actually give back! I lose another pint, and tug again with all of my might, and the chains give even more! The warden, roaring with confusion and awe, moves towards the table to end me himself. He picks up the saw next to the table and raises it in preparation for a strike. I lose another couple pints and a surge of strength explodes from my body, knowing that I need to survive for my daughter. I rip the chains from the wall and break free from the machine sending the warden and the saw sailing backwards causing a crater of his body imprinted into the door. He laughs at his broken back and spits blood from his mouth onto the ground, obviously paralyzed from the neck down. I get up from the table, blood boiling in rage and draining like the falls from my arm, and pick up the saw as the chains weigh down my body and entangle me. The warden spits out his final words and says ’what a delightful agony you shall infli....' my saw slices his mandible and silences his body. I take his shirt and wrap my lost arm to hold in what blood I still have and drag his broken body out to the railing outside the door sitting over the main commons and start to unravel some of the chains around my torso.

I wrap the chains around the warden’s neck, and slung him over the railing, hanging him from the 20 foot drop. "The only delightful thing you shall receive, is your own death."

To this day I long to see Karli, but not like this. With my arm forged with the chainsaw I once was forced to use and my inclined strength a weapon never before seen, I will join the League of Legends in hopes of finding a way to reverse my body and find my daughter, so that in another life we may find happiness together.

This is an amazingly in-depth guide, if I don't see Taven as a playable champ soon, I might scream. Some things could have been done better, but I will only say them if you want some criticism. I feel no need to interject on your glorious creation. Gragas Gragas
