Why are the eye colors of the new Kat and Nid skins swapped?

Katarina - Green eyes in splash, blue in model

Nidalee - Green eyes in model, blue in splash

I realize the eyes are something that are basically never visible to the player in-game but for what reason does this discrepancy exist for?
