{ Champion Concept } Name Undecided, The Vision Master

Okay so, This is a really vague idea, but I had the coolest idea for a champion that mostly casts abilities through their eyes! Most likely a support, but could also be a mid laner because the concept in my eyes is very useful in the mid lane.

This character is from Ionia (Or ninja land)

Passive: Bijon (Vision in Japanese)

  • The vision master can right click any ward and refresh it's duration to full. He can only do this once to every ward, and it has a 1:00 cooldown.

Q Ability: ( Name being revised)

  • The vision master begins to run on a targeted wall. He can then reactivate the ability to leap at a target, upon landing on them, they take damage and are revealed for a short time after.

-Q Passive: If <champion name> hit's marked targets with a basic attack while the mark is on them, They are revealed to <champion name>'s team for 3 seconds (increases with level) If an ally champion of <champion's name> hits the marked enemy with a basic attack, They are slowed for 3 seconds, continuously getting stronger.

W Ability: Bijon: Teishi (Vision: Cease)

  • (Not sure if this is going to be a skillshot or a homing missile, but I'm thinking a homing missile!!!) <champion's name> blinds the target for 1 second, dealing damage. The target's vision becomes slightly blurry after the blind ends, before it returns to normal.

E Ability: Bijon: Zōka (Vision: Increase)

  • <Champion's name> chooses two wards that are placed on the map, either by himself or his allies, and "connects" them, gaining vision in a THICK line between them. (Has charges)

R Ability: Bijon: Ka fuka (Vision: Overload)

  • <Champion's Name>'s eyes reveal nearby stealth enemies and wards (like a oracle, but it makes camouflaged enemies TARGETABLE and wards untargetable (so you just see them)). ( Multiple Charges, Low Cooldown between charges, Decent cooldown when there are no charges, no cost )

I rarely see a forum poster make a good champion, good work. I like the logic of casting spells with your eyes, but the spells themselves are too weak. There is no fun in a skillshot line and there definetely isn't fun in triggerstacks, they drag the character out of him and replace it with some sort of robot 'do damage, if stack then extra damage, I am a robot and I have no creative theme and a million other champions are just like me but no one knows the point'. Zoka, the ability, has a good concept but it's form is too random. Ability names are good but would be more appropriate if given an explanation, such as being words from his home language. He strikes me as being a little mad in very a reserved way.

I love the concept of ninjas since there are so many opportunities to put something unique into a kit.

Vision is an interesting concept, but what can you do with it? It's like the old Summoner Spell Clairvoyance. Having vision gives you a distinct advantage, allowing you to predict your opponents moves and decisions. However if you cannot capitalize on that advantage, it's basically useless.

A lot of the information presented here is quite vague. First of all, what's this champion's resource? Mana or Energy?

#Passive: As a support champion, vision aids in terms of map awareness especially against ganks. But how for does this vision go in terms of your Passive? Champions have a vision radius of 1200. A skill like Quinn's Heightened Senses increases this vision radius to 2100 for a brief time period. How far does this scale up to? Just because you have increased a vision radius, doesn't mean you shouldn't buy wards. <- Remember that.

#Q: Does this skill's active do damage? If so, what type? How wide is the skillshot?

Note that Jhin 's Deadly Flourish has a 2500 radius range. What's the point of having a skillshot with such a far range if you can't get close enough to auto attack them to get vision? It doesn't make much sense. Jhin's W's far range functions as poke and a catch/disengage due to his relatively average auto attack range which in turn allows him to trade with other farther range carries.

Just to tell you, any CC that has a 3 second duration that increases in duration with level or AP/AD/Armor/MR isn't really that fair/consistent and shouldn't be implemented in game. It's one of the reasons they changed Randuin's Omen.

#W: As far as I know, Homing missile skills were removed from the game entirely. If you ever played against pre-rework Heimerdinger , his rockets used to auto-lock onto nearby targets as long as they were in range. It doesn't add much counterplay, and it would most likely gimp your damage since it would have to be lowered to be fair.

But by the way you phrased it, it sounds a lot like Teemo 's Q. Why not just make it point and click, then it will be an almost exact replica.

#E: This doesn't make sense. What does this "THICK line" do? Does it give vision? Can enemies see the wards? How many can he have on the map? What happens when you place a new one, what happens to the old one? How far is the range of this line?

#R: This R seems kind of useful and useless at the same time. It has about the same efficiency as a Red Totem but you can't get rid of wards. What if I use red trinket to attack the wards? Are they still untargetable?

One of the most important aspects of this game is to have vision control and deny your enemy vision.

I mean, I wouldn't mind having an extra range Red trinket on hand, but it doesn't seem impactful as an ult. I could just choose Twisted Fate and active Destiny for the same effect but without the ward vision. I can even warp with it too.

#TLDR;

Like I stated earlier, if you have vision, you need to capitalize on it. This champion really has no zoning pressure as a support or mid laner. He has little to no damaging capabilities or hard CC, nor does he have the capabilities to capitalize on his vision benefits. He can't even deny vision from enemy wards. What's the point of that??? Why even have true-sight if you don't even have CC to stop an assassin? It doesn't make sense.

If anything, if you want a champion to be a vision control monster, maybe you should add other things as well. Going down the path as a tracker support Ninja sounds pretty cool imo. You can probably implement things like Talon's old Noxian Diplomacy where it would reveal the target hit. IDK do whatever you want, just make sure with that vision, you can do something with it.
