Chess King Azir

Not sure why, but this just popped in my head while I was doodling at work. I think a chess based Azir skin could be really cool because his sand soldiers could be like different Chess pieces and his ult could be a wall of pawns. Of course Azir himself would be the king. When he moves his soldiers he could say things like "knight to E-5" or when he kills someone he could say "Checkmate!" I'll admit not my best idea but it just kind of popped in my head and since I was bored at work I figured why not post it. Haha

"Chessmaster" could be its own line of skins I bet! What with so many champions that summon things.

Azir could be a king and summon pawns, Heimerdinger could summon bishops and his ultimate be a rook and Yorick could summon knights and his ultimate be the queen!

Either legendary or ultimate. Have the soldiers be pawns when summoned and change depending on the action. Once W is maxed make them bishops, when Qing make them knights, when you get the attack speed bonus make them queens and make the turret of the passive the rook. I really hope someone at RIOT hq sees this thread

Knight to e5 is in general a bad move but I see what you are saying. Many people have came up with this idea, I'm sure riot will implement it eventually.

I made a champion concept that was based on a chess piece a few years ago, and I really feel like this aesthetic has serious potential.

Yeah, this sounds like a great idea, Chromas could be Like different types of chess types: Marble, Wood, Glass,

Champs Could include: Gangplank - His Barrells Could be Rooks Yorick - Yorick could summon knights and his ultimate be the Queen Shaco - w could be like little pawns (Shaco looks like jester works well with the idea of the royal court) Heimerdinger summon bishop towers or pawns Kayn - King Kanye over seems like a champion who could have a great versatility.
