How do grades work?

So I got an A with Ryze and it says my highest is a B. If you check master yi as well I got an S for the chest, but there was still no record of the S? How do these numbers work?

And those are season highs example yasuo my hishest grade this season is a B but i highest grade last season was an S+
As for the grading system in general not total sure lol i hear it has to do with champ averages but idk cause i got an A+ with annie in a game i went 23-0 in had 187 farm and the game lasted 33 mins farm was only low due to roaming but with 23 kills that should of evened out and it didnt
