[Champion Concept] Mae, Alchemist of Zaun

Many years spent in underground work for her city, Mae has made a name for herself as Zaun's blessing. Renowned for her medicinal cures and generosity to the people, she truly enjoys committing good deeds and helping the less fortunate. Mae aspires to join the League, and believes it is her duty to avail to those in need. A place of constant war and battle is her new calling.

  • “Always Prepared” (Passive)

Mae is always ready to assist and to fight.

(Idea 1) Potions (Q and W) and Tags (E) hold two charges. Allies near Mae have their max HP increased by 5% (does not heal).

(Idea 2) Potions (Q and W) and Tags (E) hold two charges. Mae periodically crafts small health potions. When allies do not have full health, she can target and distribute the health on the ally. Potion heals 100-300 health (depending on level; heals 300 at level 18). Potions are crafted every 90 seconds. Can hold two potions. [Similar to Zileans targeting passive] **Mae cannot heal the same target for 60 seconds. **

  • “Cure” (Q)

Cooldown: 20s Range: 1000 Cost: 75 Potion duration: 3/4/5

Throws a potion in the area that boosts all allies armor (5/10/15/15/20) (+0.4 Ability Power) and magic resistance (5/10/15/15/20) (+0.4 Ability Power). At the end of the potions duration, allies hit gain an immunity to disabling effects for (2/2/3/3/3) seconds. Hitting the same target with Cure resets the duration.

  • “Spread Toxin” (W)

Cooldown: 20s Range: 1100 Cost: 80 Potion duration: 3/4/5

Throws a potion that amplifies damage dealt to all enemies hit (additional 10% physical damage; additional 20% magic damage - all ranks). Enemy targets hit are slowed for 30% increasing to 65% over 3 seconds. After using Spread Toxin, Mae's next 3 auto attacks for 6 seconds will inflict poison on enemies (65/105/145/185/225) (+0.45 Ability Power) over 3 Seconds (Multiple poison auto attacks will not stack the poison, but will refresh it). Hitting the same target with Spread Toxin resets the duration.

  • “Love and War” (E)

Cooldwn: 24s Range: 700 Cost 80

Attaches a magic tag onto an ally or an enemy.

Allies with a tag are healed over time; 30/40/50/60/70 (+0.30 Ability Power)** each second for 3 Seconds.** Enemies with a tag take damaged over time; 20/30/50/60/80 (+0.25 Ability Power) **each second for 3 Seconds. **

If Mae auto attacks a tagged enemy, all tags placed will explode instantly. Exploded tags deals 80% of the remaining damage/heal and stuns the target and all enemies close to the target [Similar to Anivia's stun, but around whichever enemy Mae attacks].

Targets affected by Cure or Spread Toxin keep the tag of Love and War for **4 Seconds (normally 3 Seconds) **

  • “Workshop” (R)

Cooldown: 1m Range: 1200 Cost: 100 Duration: 10/15/20 Seconds

Mae sets up her workshop.

Potion cool downs are halved inside the area, Love and War doubles the heal/damage and explodes instantly only. [Does not reduce the cooldown of Mae's passive potions]

Additionally, potions leave a splash residue behind for 3 seconds. Allies on the residue experience increase health regeneration (+50%) and enemies have reduced health regeneration (-30%)

My inspiration for this concept is from a dead (closed/shut down) app game called Ayakashi. http://puu.sh/ln3Ip/edfb0e5501.png http://puu.sh/lniD8/1a393df99e.jpg Role: Support Resource: Mana To explain a little about Mae's potions, her Q and W would have an aoe as big as Sona's aura below her feet or something like Miss Fortunes Make It Rain aoe and affect those inside the area; ideally I would love the range of the skill to be like Miss Fortunes Make It Rain range (1000). Mae's ult "Workshop" would be similar to Heimerdinger's R>Q turret but when summoned, would provide an area outline as to where Mae would get the benefits of the Workshop.

She has absolutely abysmal damage potential and minimal crowd control. She seems to be a purely "support" support, which Riot doesn't seem to want. She isn't versatile or dynamic, and I don't think she'd be very fun or rewarding to play. Attach a slow to her W and make it interact with her E. My suggestion is to make her W slow on hit and to make her E stun if she autos while they are slowed, otherwise it is just a slow. Also, buff some of the damage on her E in exchange for a shorter duration on her W.

So, I have a few points here, but I'll try to keep this as short as possible.

First of all, Mae's NAME is fine, but I think I would recommend changing her title if able. Remember that Singed is already "The Mad Chemist".

Secondly, I think I'll cast my vote for your second idea for her passive. My only issue with that is: would her passive's cooldown also be reduced during her ult?

Third (though this is of little importance), I really love the fact that you drew inspiration from Ayakashi: Ghost Guild! I loved that game before it was shut down, even if mostly for the fun stuff I did with my friends in the chat-rooms.

All in all, I really like this concept. I do look forward to seeing if she makes it into the League.

I like this champ. Enough that I actually don't like that she isn't getting very much attention. Let's see if we can fix that, shall we?

I really like the idea of this champion. There isn't really a champ currently that involves potions or anything like that, and I'm always hoping there will be more unique champs like this, rather than another generic champ. The ult seems a little underwhelming, but I like the idea. How long would this ult area be around for? Might want to add that.

I would switch her passive and e. The e could turn into a every 15 seconds her auto attacks are empowered damage over time like a stong poison increasing by level. This would eleminate the ally heal over time. But the passive could turn into a area spell which heals allies and slows enemies and deals damage over time. This could also refresh her other abilties duration. This provides zoning control, increased buff/debuff duration, and an area heal you can toss into a team fight while you chill in the back at your workshop.

PS does the ult have a limit to the number of workshops and can they be destroyed.

It's awsome concept. My idea for this (if you don't mind) is that it's pure potions/smoke bomb effect. Like cass's poison or sindge, q will be the heal, skill shot and it stays on the area, affects the minions and ally champions inside the cloud or smoke.

W will be dmg fire or ice dmg overtime or instant freeze on hit or slow on aoe.

E she will leave a trail on potions that slows enemy or speed ally.

E makes potions(random effects)

R will be some what a rain or bottles with random effects, heal on ally, dmg/freeze/slow on enemy champions. Ground will be covered with multi color smokes each have the said effects.

Her potions refills over time or that will be her E will refill potions, random or fills 1 potion her q or w.

She carries more vials as she lvls max 3 her last lvl on her skill will be additional heal. E will reduce cd as she lvls

She's more of a potion maker than an alchemist. Alchemists being focused on converting one thing into another i.e. lead into gold.

Also straight buffs and debuffs while powerful don't feel impactful and aren't fun in general. The kit works technically but not sure how fun it would be to play as or against her.
