New Game Mode: Safeguard
It has been brought to my attention that Riot may not want to spend the resources to design a new game mode from the ground up. Not to worry, if that is the case I have already been working on implementing this idea into Summoner's Rift. This should reduce the amount of work needed to implement Safeguard. Thank you for all of your continued support and suggestions.

Description
While playing Safeguard, your job is to defend the Nexus against the Minions of Runeterra.
Type
PvE (Player versus Environment)
How to Play
_Dungeons_ - Before each attacking wave, your team will have time to level up and obtain gold by slaughtering your enemies in a series of random dungeons. Within these dungeons players will be able defeat stronger enemies that grant the famous blue, red, or purple buff depending on the enemy. As the team progresses through the game, dungeons become exceptionally more difficult.
_Defending the Town_ - Every few minutes the Minions of Runeterra stage an attack on your Nexus. During this time all players will be teleported out of the dungeons and be able to purchase items before the siege begins. Enemies will spawn in waves that get progressively more difficult. Each wave will have at least one mini boss with unique abilities. If the enemies destroy your Nexus the game ends.
_Leveling Up and Purchasing Gear_ - It is crucial that your team levels up and purchases gear as quickly as possible. The Minions are very quick at developing new attack strategies that will eventually overcome the Nexus. Being a certain level before an attacking wave may prevent total destruction!
The idea for this game mode comes from an old custom map on Starcraft called Mini Town Defense. I have made a few modifications to the original idea. The largest change would be replacing the farming mechanic with the random style dungeons from Diablo. Please feel free to share your thoughts about the new game mode. I personally believe that having a PvE game mode would make a great addition to League of Legends. If this game mode is well received, I will go ahead and add my other ideas for this that are scribbled in my notebook.
Please post the reasoning behind your vote in the comments!
Thank you, Pauper
Miscellaneous
- If a summoner leaves during a match, enemy units will scale down their statistics to ensure fair game play.
- Safeguard can be played with 1-5 players (New).
- The map could take place on the other side of the Nexus in Summoner's Rift OR within each factions capitol city. The latter would require more resources from the developer team but could would allow players to dive deeper into each factions lore.
- Dungeons would contain Minions that you have all come to know and love, as well as new foes that you haven't seen before.
- Stronger enemies within dungeons are/variations of jungle creeps from each game mode (New).
- The leveling cap may possibly be increased to allow your team to scale better late game (depends on limitations within the game engine).
- Advanced players can choose to play at a higher difficulty. Increasing the difficulty will not only increase Minion damage/health but also the amount spawned each wave.
- Leaderboards are based on highest wave defeated as well as difficulty.
- **Champion only abilities will now target minions and mini bosses (New). **
