Mansur, the Oracle of the Sands
My friend and I have been thinking for at least a week on how Riot could fix Shurima's champion lores. After going through several concepts, we finally came to an ideal solution: Why not create an omniscient champion (or at least one who knows everything about Shurima)?
Settling on THAT concept, we had to decide what and who this champion would be. And what better to represent a desert empire than a genie?
The concept is below:
Mansur, the Oracle of the Sands
Role: Mage/Support
Passive: Djinn’s Favor- Every time Mansur casts an ability, he can Alt-click on himself or an allied champion to heal them for 75% of his ability power plus a base amount, which increases based on his level. Mansur must wait 1.5 seconds between heals.
Ability Q: Just a Vision- Mansur disappears into a wisp of smoke, becoming invisible for 2 seconds. At the end of the duration, Mansur releases a burst of quick evaporating smoke that blinds and damages enemies.
Ability W: Bright Sands- (TOGGLE) Mansur’s lamp begins to glow with a magical light, draining mana each second to grant Mansur increased sight range, as well as revealing invisible units in the new range. Mansur can also see into brush while this ability is active.
Ability E: Arcane Smog- Mansur releases raw arcane energy in the form of a cloud of smoke. This cloud obstructs the view of enemies outside of it, reduces the sight range of enemies inside it, and slightly increases the Armor and Magic Resist of allies inside it.
Ability R (ultimate): Three Wishes- 1ST ACTIVATION: Mansur summons 3 floating orbs of mystical blue light around him. On contact with an ally champion, it heals them and boosts their Movement Speed for 3 seconds. On contact with an enemy champion, it damages them and slows their Movement Speed for 3 seconds. 2ND/3RD/4TH ACTIVATION: Mansur throws an orb in a target direction, applying one of the above effects based on whether an enemy or ally was hit.
Also, bit of trivia. Had to think of a name for this guy, and we couldn't think of anything. We eventually just looked online for something, and this name (which is still sort of a placeholder) actually is Arabic for either "victorious" or "divinely aided" (we're not sure which). My friend and I feel the latter makes much more sense for this champion, so that's what we're going with.
