Hey guys. I am reading through some of Taliyah's lore and i just realized how great many of the stories are for champions. I thought, what if there were a story to play for each champion? Maybe even a co-op story for specific champions with ties in their journeys. I would love to play Yasuo and Taliyah's story.
Ryzing2Diamond1 votesI've commented on a similar thread before. Yes, it would be incredible, and yes Riot has already made boss fights, and could do something. But the problem is, while the graphics of this game have improved by a ton in recent years, the engine is still the same. Everything has to be coded as minions. I think even Baron, Rift Herald, and Dragon are coded as champions, even if they do give a CS.
An idea I have, is a minion set up like a Villager, and some type of monster attacking a Village. (Wolves, Voidlings, it doesn't matter) and the players could be sent in from a pool of Demacian champs to protect the Village. Anyway, that's a basic concept of what could MAYBE be done, the hard part is making it difficult. Riot had an issue just making the bots even a tad difficult with this engine, I can only imagine how hard this would be.
TLDR: Maybe this is better as a different, spin-off game, of League. On a NEW engine. Maybe that could even be why they removing all of the limitations that the Institute of War made, in the lore, was a good thing.
Cloak and Sword1 votesI feel they can still use this engine. The barron is an example of an epic monster that once cannot take alone without help or a a healthy diet. There is a co-op vs Ai option, so the enemy units could be bots. There could also be dungeon crawl missions with epic monster fights at the end. Perhaps a jungle mission where you have to defeat barron? I would so omega squad teemo through the jungle. Maybe cut the leash on some monster. Making them chase you for as long as they want.

Regardless, It would be cool. Even something as simple as a gauntlet with creeps and bots of every champion swarming you would be cool.
Before they can do this kinda thing though, they have to fix the lore. It's horribly disfigured at the moment. Minions and the actual gameplay of League aren't even canon. An idea I had was to make the minions 'Magically maintained, rune soldiers.' But then that forces the gameplay to be centered around runes... Anyway, I really think they should re-design summoners rift. I know it'll probably never be done, though.

If Riot would let me live in Ryzes shoes for one hour, I would be pleased. Seriously, they need to do more with Leagues lore. It's so good.
