A champion similar to some thing from smite.

So i do play Smite sometimes because it's a pretty fun game and has a lot of balanced gods with a variety of play styles. One god i play the most is Geb, a tanky support god that uses cc in fights. I was thinking after seeing some posts about how crits should work and then seeing posts about how tanks can't do anything in their current state, it made me think back to Geb. See geb's passive is that he takes only 25% of crit damage rather than the full 100% making him really good against ad comps and hard counter atleast one person on the team (sorta like rammus) so i was thinking this passive could be used for another champion in league though the rest of his kit isn't what i'm talking about i just think that this passive would make for a great ad tank.

No. That'd make him extremely powerful vs one class (marksman, and melee adcs if we are being specific) while having literally zero effect on anyone else. In addition, look at this.

A normal crit is 2x damage (2.5x with IE). 100 armor makes this 1 (or 1.25x) with a crit. 25% damage taken from a crit is .5x (or .625x with IE). This passive basically gives 200 armor verse critical strikes, but only if they strike (which also gives the frankly stupid scenario where getting a critical hit does LESS damage than a normal hit). This literally makes him invalidate anyone crit based (Yasuo sure will love doing... .5625x damage WITH IE every strike verse this guy) while having no passive verse anyone else (yeah, that blue build ezreal sure gives a crap that you defend against crits).

i didn't take crit champs into thought good point. But it doesn't need to be 25% i was suggesting a crit based tank/ another anti ad tank...just snowballng ideas

If you want an anti ad tank, malphite, rammus, taric, or any tank who happens to like armor (sooooo...all of them?) works.

Making a mechanic anti crit is bad, since there's usually a max of 2 champions in one team it will affect (the adc, assuming they go crit and not caster, and maybe the jungler, mid, or top. Maybe). This means the anti crit is ONLY good verse people who crit, and makes the entire thing useless vs almost anyone else. If it's powerful enough, it makes any crit champion useless, and if it's not, then why get it, when armor defends you and at least lowers minion, monster, and autoattack damage.

If you want an anti crit item, your closest bet is thornmail and some health.

i shot out this idea just for a champion design, and thornmail plus some health doesn't solve the worlds tank problems in all honesty (as long as botrk and last whisper are in the game) i just think he could work really well into the league. what adc does NOT rush an IE now? unless it's ez or corki chances are it'll be their first item since it's so good right now. My idea or this passive would be an added bonus for his tanky properties, it doesn't make the champion like yas it just helps with his defense. Plus assuming this champ would scale to be a hard tank like malphite it doesn't MAKE him only good against 2 people on the enemy team he can still build mr and armor but his passive allows him to not get blown up in one second because of how overpowering adcs are compared to tanks. But i can get your point about how he would be either never picked or perma banned.
