WHAT IS IT THAT PEOPLE WANT TO SEE FROM SMALLER YOUTUBERS?

At the moment I am sitting at 70 subscribers and I have been wondering, what is it that people want to see?

I have asked friends and full game commentaries seems the most popular so I have started doing one of those a week along with the one edited video a week. I am working on doing some satirical songs and/or creations about Tyler1 because that seems to be working really well for people and I get to show off my musical background.

When I started my YouTube channel I was out to create a channel that was original and that was based around what viewers to see. As I am growing I am noticing that being original is in itself a contradictory. Every is being original, so it's not original. And most the time the reason an idea or meme is popular to use is because it is successful and well with the YouTube algorithm.

I have found an answer to my question. People want to see content about the big YouTubers. Making videos about Tyler1 or NightBlue3 or anyone who is popular at all in the community is what draws attention to channels and it starts showing up in the search results. Maybe from a distance, from just a glance it looks kind of scummy to do, like you are abusing the system. But it really isn't different than any other strategy that big YouTubers use. It is what helps you find content that you enjoy.

I hope that anyone who is reading this who hasn't checked out my channel yet does and subscribes if they enjoy that content, and leave me a comment telling me how you found me. I am always open to any collaborations no matter the size of your channel. I hope you guys have a good 4th of July!

Do what you want. Thats the beauty of small channels, you can do what you want. Pick the format you enjoy most

Really when you're small you can do what you enjoy doing because when you get popular people will want too see the video you do and only the video you do. So do what you have fun doing, and do it cause you want to do it, not because it is what will make you popular, cause if you aren't having fun then you shouldn't be on youtube and if you're doing it just to be popular not a lot of people are gonna like you. Also if you don't do it for the popularity, when you do get popular and you thank people for it, it's more sincere. Keep up the videos man and eventually you will reach that point you haven't noticed you've been waiting for [slayer-jinx-wink]

From what I have seen from League of Legends Youtubers (i.e Kayori, UberDanger, Brofresco, etc) are all "characters" they have made themselves into and people watch them because they want to see them do exactly what they have been doing over and over and over again.

If you want to become well known you need to become a character. Loud, confident, entertaining, silly, but above all, consistent.

Once you have that, you will be able to do whatever you want as far as content because people will come to watch YOU.

Hope that clears some thoughts a little for you.
