Dexx,The Dark Doctor (Champion Concept)
So, I was thinking Riot hasn't added another healer to the game in a while, and kinda quickly thought something up. So, don't expect it to sound perfect or anything but I still think it's a pretty good idea. Just hoping that Riot will take this vessel of an idea and turn it into their own. That would be satisfactory enough for me. That's also why I left alot of details out, it allows more space for other ideas to flow in without it seeming so strict.
I was thinking his lore could play into Swain's seeing as the period between Swain being injured in Ionia and him searching for the demon for years was never really spoken of. He could be the doctor that healed Swain during that period.
He would be a melee support, and I was thinking he could be a Noxian doctor. His weapon might be like a bone saw, or just give the dude a knife. I just think the bone saw would make him feel more like a "Dark Doctor." I was thinking he could have a plague doctor's mask, and a dark cloak as his base character design. Anyway most of those details aren't that important.
Passive/Infamous Noxian Doctor : The ally with the highest AD that is near Dexx will gain 5% lifesteal scaling up to a max of 20% lifesteal.
Q Ability/Medicinal Sacrifice : (Again I could't think of good names but whatever) This will be a straight line skill shot that launches Dexx toward target area. If he connects with an enemy champion he tackles them stunning them for 1 second, perhaps scaling up to 2 or 2.5 seconds and he stabs them before rolling away from the target dealing initial damage and bleeding them (This will inflict a bleed lasting a fixed 5 seconds, scaling with Dexx's AD). Only Dexx has full vision of the bleeding target and the bleeding target only. (In other words if the bleeding target runs into a bush where 4 of his/her teammates are, Dexx will only see the bleeding target). Starting at a 15 second cooldown.
W Ability/Blood Source : This ability will be a point and click ability like, Braum's W or Ivern's shield. Dexx throws a scalpel at an enemy champion or epic monsters. This will inflict a bleed the same as Dexx's Q but it does not stack in damage or in duration. It won't even reset the bleed timer. This will slow the enemy champion by 25%. It will also mark the enemy champion for 5 seconds. This mark will allow all allies who attack the marked target to heal for 5% of the damage they deal, up to a max of 10% depending on level of ability. Starting at a 12 second cooldown. (Ally who has the E ability on them cannot benefit from W ability's lifesteal)
E Ability/Blood Transfusion : This ability will be a point and click ability like the W ability above, but will only affect allies. Leveling E will activate E's passive. First his active, it will create a conduit between two champions, him and another of his choice. His passive will allow Dexx's auto attacks to heal his partner for 5% to 15% of the damage he does to any source. Likewise, his partner's auto attacks will heal him for 5% to 15% of their damage that they deal to any source. The active part of this ability will have a starting cooldown of 40 seconds scaling down to 20. If the conduit dies or leaves Dexx for too long (10 seconds), the conduit will be broken. (The area at which the ally must stay to keep the conduit active will be shown to both Dexx and chosen ally).
R Ability/One Life For Many : This Ability is a skillshot similar to Dexx's Q. It launches Dexx forward tackling an enemy and stunning them (for as long as this second part requires), afterward he repeatedly stabs the tackled enemy up to 5 times depending on how many of his allies are nearby. 1 attack for him, up to 5 if his 4 other teammates are nearby, each stab heals his nearby teammates for 15% of his health. If nearby allies have full health as he is healing them with his attacks, they will gain a shield equal to the amount of health that should've been given them, however the shield will only last 3 seconds after Dexx's R ability ends. Each stab will deal 175 fixed damage to the enemy. If Dexx kills the targeted enemy with his R, he will gain 35% increased movement speed and 20% increased attack speed for 5 seconds additionally, his Q will immediately come off cooldown and his next Q will have increased range and will not cause him to roll backwards after a stab. Will Inflict a bleed on the enemy however if they die from the bleed it will not give Dexx the kill buffs.
Passive Scaling : Level 1 -> 5% - Level 6 -> 10% - Level 11 -> 15% - Level 15 -> 20%
Q Ability : Q Level 1 -> damage scaling/11 second CD - Q Level 2 -> damage scaling/9 second CD -Q Level 3 -> damage scaling/7 second CD Q Level 4 -> damage scaling - Q Level 5 -> damage scaling/4 second CD
W Ability : W Level 1 -> 12 second CD/5% Lifesteal/initial ability damage/15% slow - W Level 2 -> 10 second CD/damage scaling - W Level 3 -> 9 second CD/damage scaling/20% slow W Level 4 -> 7 second CD/10% lifesteal/damage scaling - W Level 5 -> 5 second CD/damage scaling/25% slow
E Ability : E Level 1 -> 40 second CD/5% lifesteal (both allies) -> E Level 2 -> 35 second CD - E Level 3 -> 30 second CD/10% lifesteal - E Level 4 -> 25 second CD - E Level 5 -> 20 second CD/15% lifesteal
R Ability : R Level 1 -> 100 fixed damage/10% of his health as healing for allies per stab/20% movement speed, 10% attack speed - R Level 2 -> 150 fixed damage/10% of his health as healing for allies per stab/30% movement speed, 15% attack speed - R Level 3 -> 175 fixed damage/ 15% of his health as healing for allies per stab/35% movement speed, 20% attack speed
**(I'm sure Riot can figure out the damage scaling of each ability, 'cause I'm not even gonna try). **
Notes : I think his R ability should make him invulnerable for the following reason. It seems like it would be really good to use while your team is losing a fight. You would't want to launch yourself into the enemy team while yours is running away low on health. Making him invulnerable while executing the animation/ability will allow him to successfully heal his nearby team without being interrupted which I think is for the best considering what situations are most favorable to use it in. Another thought is maybe he can become interrupted. While leaping at the target but not after actually connecting with the target.
I think having a champion who is able to heal more based on your ally's ability to dish out damage offers more potential in team composition. When using Dexx some players may want to have two high damage dealing AD champs, like a Yasuo and a Vayne . While Yasuo benefits from Dexx's E ability, Vayne benefits from his passive, allowing increased survivability for those three members. While it does sound strong having all this lifesteal, it doesn't make them invincible. Stuns can stop ranged champs from lifestealing while stuns and slows can stop melee champs from getting in range to lifesteal, however if you are able to somehow collapse on the enemy, that is where Dexx will be his strongest. Also a good solution is killing Dexx off immediately in a team fight or picking him off before a team fight, that way he will not provide any of his lifestealing buffs.
Just an idea of what I had in mind, even if Dexx is brought to life on Runeterra I honestly don't even expect him to have all the same abilities or story, I expect a lot to change basically. I just wanted to get what I had in my mind out, now if they are willing they can mold Dexx into whatever potential champion they see in him, if any.
