Why do new champions never come out on the day of their intended patch?

I don't know if this is just a trend, but honestly i would LOVE to play the new champions on their patch. Maybe someone can help me understand why ( lately ) Riot has been releasing them days after?

They usually do arrive on the day of their patch. Azir will ascend soon.

I believe they do this so that they can test to make sure everything is working fine with the champion on the Live version, just in case some game breaking bug is found that wasn't on the dev build.

Some take longer than others to get working properly, sometimes there is nothing to fix and they go out within the patch day.

At least, that is my thoughts. Just be patient =p

As Ryster said partly it's so that they can be sure everything is working on the Live build before sending in the new champ, and I think it's also partly to do with not overwelming the servers or something with everyone patching and trying to access the shop and all that at the same time.

azir had a bunch of bugs and his 1 skin doesnt even have a splash do you want trash releases that are on time or a quality release that wont need 7 updates fixing everything wrong with it imo quality is always better dont rush riot
