Lore

Tayrien raced down a frozen bridge, escaping his past and entering a world that would change his future forever. He was being hunted down by his own kin, brother assassins from the Hourin (Your - een) family. Accused for a heinous crime he was not responsible for by the Headmaster, Tayrien was left with no other choice but to abandon his home and loved ones. While roaming the frozen lands of Freljord in search for refuge, the assassins ambushed and nearly killed him. If it had not been for his quick reactions, he would've died there to freeze into another lifeless body of ice. To him, it seemed like no one desired to think it through. Why would Tayrien, a loyal servant to the Headmaster and one of the most powerful in his clan, commit murder against someone of a higher rule? It was incredibly unlike him. What he desired was peace and tranquility, while others hungered for war and violence.

Every part of Tayrien wanted to turn back and plead his innocence to the Headmaster, but he knew that it would only have him murdered, even tortured to the point of suicide. As he ran farther and farther away from his family, he became roadblocked by a dead end inside of a mountain. He turned to the entrance and tried to find an alternate path, but it was futile. The assassins, thirty highly skilled members, stood in front of him with their blades ready to kill. Tayrien gulped, knowing that he was going to die where he stood, and raised his weapons slowly, his eyes still beholding his pride and strength. He gave everything in his power to make sure that they couldn't see his fear, his sadness, his emptiness...

The sound of a bow cracked behind them, and the inside of the mountain was decorated in frozen arrows and blood. Tayrien stared in disbelief as his fellow clan members fell simultaneously to the barrage. A woman stood in the entrance with her bow already prepared with an assembly of arrows. Her hair was as white as snow, and her eyes crystals in the light. When she shifted her weight, Tayrien gasped and tightened his guard.

"Do not be afraid," she said to him, her voice calm like water. "I'm not here to hurt you. I want to help you. What's your name?"

"Tayrien..." he hesitated for a moment, lowering his guard to the sound of her voice. "And you are?"

The woman smiled. "My name is Ashe. I know we just met, but I can already tell that we have a lot in common. There's so much to talk about."

"I stand by her side. I'll die by her side."

  • Tayrien, the Assassin of Freljord

Passive (Innate) - Vengeance [Cooldown: 0]: When Tayrien dies by the hands of another Champion, his body turns into a gust of icy wind that circulates around his killer, marking them for 5 seconds. While marked, the Champion is revealed to all allies and all damage dealt to the marked Champion is increased by 35%.

Q - Frozen Spear [Cooldown: 5 / 4.5 / 4 / 3.5 / 3] [Mana Cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70]: Tayrien dashes to a target location and leaves a trail of ice behind him. Enemies caught in the ice trail are constantly dealt magic damage over time until they move away from it. If Tayrien hits an enemy Champion along his path, he deals moderate damage to them. With each enemy Champion Tayrien passes through, the initial damage increases slightly.

Initial Damage: 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 (+ 60% bonus AD) + 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 per Champion. Magic DoT: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 (+ 10% bonus AP) per second.

W (Passive) - Gather [Cooldown: 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 / 0] [Mana Cost: 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 / 0]: When Tayrien has been out of combat for 5 seconds, he begins to stack Frostbite, iconed by small ice shards circulating around his midsection. Every second beyond that, he gains an additional Frostbite stack until he enters battle again, in which all of his Frostbite stacks will simultaneously attack his opponent, dealing damage based of the quantity of his stacks (30 seconds = 30 Frostbite stacks = 30 damage). The Frostbite stacks refresh when Tayrien dies and they target whatever he is attacking, including minions.

W (Active) - Wrathful Assault [Cooldown: 5 / 4.5 / 4/3 / 3.5] [Mana Cost: 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70]: Tayrien doubles the amount of Frostbite stacks on him for 3 seconds. If the stacks are not used upon this activation they explode, slowing Tayrien and others around him by 98% / 96% / 94% / 92% / 90% for 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds (30 seconds = 30 Frostbite stacks + Activation = 60 damage).

E - Stone Cold Prison [Cooldown: 8 / 7.5 / 7 / 6.5 /6] [Mana Cost: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90]: Tayrien dashes to a target location and leaves an icy version of him at his initial position. The ice clone does not attack, move, cast spells, or can be targeted by others, and stays active for 3 / 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 / 5 seconds. If an enemy Champion comes in contact with it, the ice clone explodes and freezes its target, dealing minor magic damage and stunning them for 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds.

Initial Damage: 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 (+ 40% bonus AP)

R - Primal Assassination [Cooldown: 110 / 100 / 90]: Tayrien becomes invisible for 4 / 5 / 6 seconds, gaining a slight movement speed boost, increasing his attack range, and charging his next basic attack to deal bonus damage based on how long he's been stealthed (max damage at 3 / 4 / 5 seconds). If Tayrien attacks someone while stealthed, he becomes unstealthed and gains a large attack speed and critical strike chance boost for 3 seconds. This ability can be casted twice after the initial activation within the next 10 seconds for no cost, however Tayrien does not gain the extra attack speed or bonus basic attack damage boosts, and the duration of his invisibility is halved.

Initial Damage: 50 / 60 / 70 per second (+ 50% / 60% / 70% bonus AD)

You have some cool ideas here, but his ult is the only part of his kit that seems very "assassiny," and it might overlap a bit too much with rengo's ult (they function very similarly). Almost all of his damage and AD scaling are loaded onto his ult. Also, just to clarify, I understand that he gets 70 damage per second, but does the AD ratio also stack per second? If it's a flat .7 bonus AD ratio, his total scaling AD is really poor for someone who is supposed to build a lot of damage. If it's .7 bonus AD per second, it's waaayyyy too high (up to 4.2 is absolutely nuts).

I would rethink his E and W. His E doesn't make a lot of sense to me. He already has a low CD dash on his Q. The mechanic is kind of interesting, but it doesn't seem to have a lot of synergy with his kit. And his W feels more like the ability of a tanky initiator than an assassin. Also, I can't tell if the slow is supposed to punish him or reward him? It's really bizarre. A 90% AoE slow that lasts 3 seconds is crazy from a CC standpoint--hitting 3 enemies with it easily makes up for the fact that he's also slowing himself (he has dashes galore anyways). But, for some reason, the duration on the slow goes up, while the actual value of the slow scales down per level. I really don't understand the rationale here. Regardless, the actual damage offered by the ability seems very low--30 seconds for 60 damage against the first enemy he strikes is terrible. It seems like the ability would almost always be more useful as AoE CC for his team, then as a damage boost for himself.

Just looking at this kit, it honestly seems like he would benefit more from building tank stats than damage. He has low AD scaling and poor AP scaling, but he has three separate ways to initiate on an enemy team, and multiple powerful forms of CC once he's on top of them. His clearest "combo" seems to be running into the enemy team while stealthed, slowing everyone with his W, then dashing with his E and hoping someone gets stunned by the clone. That doesn't feel like an assassin combo.

I like where you are heading with this and I like your whole concept, althoug the W passivcould render him rather useless since it stacks out of combat and it works on minions . I don't have anything against the stacking though the part that works on minions saddens me it might be easier for lasthits but then again you can't use it for harrass. All in all great work.

I feel the same confusion that everyone else had seeing the word assassin and seeing more of a tanky initiator. What i would suggest is more of an assassin with a lot of utility and damage with very low amounts of health and armor and mr stats one thing that would be cool with the clone is to have it move or make it so that you swap places with itbut otherwise i love the idea.

A dash on a 2 second cooldown, another dash on a 6 second cooldown with a 3.5 second stun, an ability that damages himself, and Kha;zix's ult on crack.

You need to just...not post anymore, I think. You don't seem to know how numbers work. Or basic design. Or concepts.
