i think since theres 3 tiers of runes that instead of having to buy them once you reach a certain level they are gifted/given to you... to buy a full runepage can be pretty expensive since ip per game is so little. like at level 25 you get all the tier 2 runes or the basic sets and then at level 30 the same thing... feedback?
I think runes can be gotten rid of all together. Masterys give enough personalization to the game. Runes are just redundant.
Buying ip boosts to grind runes is one of lols sources of income. The game is free unless you spend money on the game your riot cannot exist.
There are only 2 tiers of runes as of last year. The tier 1s are gone and the tier 2 are all 1ip. They are planning to rework runes this preseason and plan to have a discussion about it sometime this summer. They are waiting until then since that will completely shake up competitive/ranked play.
