Tex, the Dwarven Mech Warrior

Description: After playing a game of Kingdom Rush Frontier (With the most annoying final boss), I was really excited about the Battle Mecha tower for the artillery tower. I wanted to make a champion based off of those mecha towers that were made by Dwarven engineers. For some reason, I keep seeing Dwarves as strong men, short men, and engineers. I decided to pick the engineer one and have him ride a battle mecha like Rumble . I'll try to make this concept work as best as I can but I'll need your guys' help on doing so.

Stats: Attack - 90% Health - 50% Magic - 80% Difficulty - 80%

Attributes: Primary - Marksman Secondary - Mage

Abilities: Passive - Mortar Barrage Every 7th attack, Tex shoots his Mortar Barrage dealing bonus magic damage to enemies near the target. (Tex's basic attacks fires missiles from his two main arm cannons. But when Mortar Barrage is used, he uses a cannon on the back of the mech that fires a projectile that flies like Corki 's Phosphorous Bomb)

First Ability - Seeker Missiles Tex shoots two missiles from each of his arm cannons that flies towards the first target it sees. If no target champion is found by the end of it's range, the missiles will detonate, dealing magic damage to enemies within the explosive radius. If a target champion is found, the missile will fly towards that target and deal additional physical damage to the target and deal magic damage to enemies nearby, but the explosive radius will be smaller. (Heimerdinger 's Hextech Micro-Rockets. Each missile fires from each arm cannon like how Lulu 's Glitterlance fires bolts from her and from Pix. When flying, the missiles have a vision cone that appears in front of them. If an enemy champion moves into that cone, the missiles will lock on and follow it. The missiles can be blocked by monsters, minions, or another ally)

Second Ability - Waste Disposal As Tex uses his abilities and basic attacks, the amount of waste gets higher and higher. If it gets full, Tex cannot use any of his abilities except for Waste Disposal. Waste Disposal empties out the waste to make his abilities and attacks usable again. Once the waste is emptied out, it leaves behind a puddle of oil waste that slows down enemies that walk over it. The bigger the waste bar fills, the bigger the puddle. This puddle can also be ignited by any fire or explosive attacks or anyone moving over it who are on fire (Like Brand or anyone under the effect of summoner 14 ). The waste will then turn on fire, removing the slow effects but will deal magic damage to enemies who move through the fire. The damage stacks the longer they remain within. The puddle in flames however can get extinguished by anything wide and cold. (Like Nunu 's Absolute Zero Ability).

Third Ability - Three Shooter Caliber Tex uses a Three Shooter Caliber gun on his pilot seat to fire three heavy caliber rounds at a target direction. Each round deals physical damage to the first target it hits and reduces their armor by 25% of Tex's total attack damage.

Ultimate - Dwarven Mecha Station

  • Upon selecting a target spot, in 10 seconds, a Dwarven Mecha Station deploys, allowing another Dwarven Mecha to deploy. This Dwarven Mecha Pilot will follow Tex around until it is destroyed. This pilot's mecha has 25% of Tex's Maximum Health and Armor but his basic attacks deals the same amount of damage as Tex but critical strikes are independent from Tex's basic attacks. If the mecha is destroyed, it will redeploy in 30 seconds.
  • Once the mecha station is deployed, it can be destroyed from enemy attacks. Tex can only deploy one station at a time. If the station is destroyed, it can be deployed again after a one minute cool down. Attempting to place the station at a different location when it is already deployed will take 30 seconds, but during location change, deployment time can halt if reactivated again but can resume deployment at anytime.
  • If Tex gets killed, the ally mecha will retreat to it's mecha station and guard from there.
  • Allies can use the mecha station as a summoner 12 point.

Synergy:

  • Works well with Heimerdinger Tex is usually away from his mecha station and he's gonna need someone to watch over it. Tex doesn't really have to deploy the station at his area. He can deploy it with another ally from a distant spot. Heimerdinger would provide cover with his H-28G Evolution Turrets as the next ally mecha deploys. If the ally mecha deploys, it can make a quick stop to help Heimerdinger out on taking out the nearby enemies. Ziggs Waste Disposal doesn't just empty the waste to leave a puddle. Ziggs can place bombs on the waste puddle and detonate them to light it one fire, burning all enemies inside of what was once a puddle of oil waste. Corki Tex is gonna need some air support from a fellow pilot. Corki's Valkyrie can light his oil waste on fire while he can penetrate enemy armor with his Gatling Gun for Tex's weapons to deal even more damage.

  • Struggles against Syndra Syndra throws a lot of things at people so having another mech try to fight her isn't the right choice. Because of how big these mechs are even if they are slightly smaller than Tex's mech, they're still massive enough to deal heavy damage if thrown at Tex. Viktor Gravity especially pulls down such massive weaponry. It can get a little cramped if two mechs are pulled in place. Tex and his fellow Dwarven pilot can get pulled in by the Gravity Field, but when they do, they'll end up colliding against each other, taking true damage. Chogath It's best not to have a Dwarve get himself eaten by a monster, not only because they'll die but those muscles and intelligence can be brain food that gives strength to a monster, making him even smarter to eat up another Dwarven pilot. Cho'gath can eat Tex's ally pilot and doing so will give Cho'gath more health than he usually gains from eating minions and monsters. Better to keep distant from the monster.

Tips:

  • Playing as Tex

It's better to place the Dwarven Mecha Station under the turret just to ensure it stays safe from enemy attacks. Otherwise, you can try to hide it in the brushes for a mechanized ambush. Deploy wastes when being chased. You can ignite your own oil waste with your rockets once your pursuers walk over it. Keep your mech clean and oil waste free. You want to make sure your attacks are always available once you get into combat.

  • Playing against Tex

If his oil waste gets too full, silence him so that he will have to wait until he is able to empty it out. Silencing him at a full tank of waste would make him harmless and extremely vulnerable. If you are on fire, whatever you do, do not step on that waste. Walking over a puddle of fire is the last thing you would want to do. Find and destroy Tex's Dwarven Mecha Station and his ally Dwarven pilot. They'll earn you more experience and gold.

Lore: In many stories told through children books, there have been mentioning of a fictional race known as the Dwarves. In their stories, Dwarves are described as strong and proud warriors who fight for their people and destroy anyone who despises their ways of life. Some stories even include Dwarves being rather intelligent. Able to build weapons for kingdoms, even if the king is not a Dwarve. Hired to build powerful weapons like cannons, ballistas, siege engines, other industrial weaponry all made to cause destruction on their contractors' rivals. And of course all the stories also mention the Dwarves as short in stature, but not as short as Yordles. You can say they are in the middle height between the average Yordle and the average Human. Through centuries of these popular stories being told, people have been coming up with strange theories about these Dwarves.

These Dwarves were suppose to be fictional but theorists who got into these stories believe that they use to exist. No one believed them at first of course, but after putting pieces of each of the popular Dwarve stories together, they had a theory that the Dwarves have vanished from Valoran. No one knows how. There are still people who believe that they are just fictional character. But because of the theorists, now Valoran had scientists trying to learn secrets of their disappearance. It wasn't long until they've decided to give up and believe the whole Dwarves Vanishing thing was just a hoax or a bunch of false theories.

Then one day. . . One day that all changed. . .

One day at Bilgewater, a very unusual ship came to the docks. This ship had no sail, only steam and smoke and it was mostly made of metal. When it came to the docks, the hatches open then out came a crew of strong warriors who look rather short but carry technology more advanced than the technology Valoran possesses today.

People looked closer at these people then they realize that they were Dwarves and they looked exactly as described in the stories. So this is what happen to them. They didn't vanish from Valoran. They sailed away. No one knows why but all that matters is that they are back and all their questions about their stories will be answered.

Leading the crew of Dwarves was their Chieftain who goes by the name of Tex. He and his crew were here to return the Dwarven civilization to Valoran. As described in the stories, they most likely came here for pay, for honor, or for fun. For Tex, it was for fun. Times back at his homeland was getting a little boring so he decided to lead his crew to move to Valoran after overhearing many stories about the people they use to serve.

To Tex, a lot has changed in Valoran. In the stories he heard, there was a lot of war and conflict taking place. When there is war and conflict, there is action, and Tex is always craving for action. He as disappointed to find out that there was less war and conflict taking place in Valoran, even the conflict between Demacia and Noxus didn't have enough action to satisfy him, the same way they were once told in the stories.

But that's when he learned of the League of Legends, where powerful warriors and creatures from all across Valoran gather in an arena to fight against their foes to triumph with their allies, all under the command of the Summoners of the Institute of War. This was getting Tex excited of course so he set himself and his crew up to join the league.

People think that he wouldn't do so well in the League of Legends because in their stories, Dwarves possess obsolete weaponry that were useful in the past. But little did they know how evolved the Dwarves were.

Tex did not just came into the league unprepared. He and his race have been working on their secret weapons. . .

Battle Mechas.

These Battle Mechas possess advanced weaponry, the next generation of Technology. Missiles that can track targets, Cannons that shoot powerful bombs, and most of all, no need to use magic. They have weapons with endless supply of ammunition without any need of magic to make the ammo stack. People think that magic can beat these Mechas easily. Boy were they proven otherwise. These Mechas are able to penetrate some of the strongest magic any mage could possess. Ionians learn not to underestimate their weaponry.

Everyone in the League of Legends should be warned that these Dwarves, just like in the stories, are not to be trifled with. They are strong, powerful, intelligent, and maybe even ruthless, and they are gunning for you. But at least that's the fun of it.

"Strong and Aggressive, maybe Ruthless, Yes. But don't forget, we can be Jolly and Loving to Children. I'd let them ride my machine any day." - Tex

Relationship:

  • Friends Corki Heimerdinger Ezreal Caitlyn Vi Blitzcrank Rumble Braum Jayce

  • Allies Garen JarvanIV Lux Galio XinZhao

Appearance: Just like as described in the lore, Tex and his fellow Dwarves' stature is in between the height of the average Yordle and the average Human. The rest of the Dwarve traits, we all know from many other games and films. They have beards, muscles, and for this one, they can be techies.

Tex's mecha has two rocket cannons for the hands, a Mortar Barrage Cannon on the back, a Three Shooter Caliber Gun Turret on the pilot seat, and a Waste Disposal Lid on the butt of the machine (It obviously looks like it's taking a dump). Tex's mecha is slightly bigger than Rumble 's but the secondary Dwarven mecha for his Ultimate is just as big as Rumble 's.

Sounds pretty good, his second ability sounds interesting but wouldn't it be a balance issue if brand simply walking over, it detonates...
