Guys we all must remember that there are many kinds of art. Jhin is obviously not a painter or sculptor he is a play-write, director, or actor. Just look at the names of his abilities:
"Whisper" has to do with speaking( but that one give the least evidence).
"Dancing Grenade" the performance of a dance on stage in often in plays and always in ballets. ** "Deadly Flourish"** is about the most psychopathic artist thing you can get, also flourishes are any thing that makes something better or more artistic.
"Captive Audience" continues with the theme that he is somehow involved in theater, and it is a play of the saying captive audience, which is and audience with no choice but to stay and watch the performance, but here it is much more literal.
"Curtain Call" is an actual thing in theater where the actors names are called out and then they bow to the audience. this happens the end of a performance which is why it was chosen because it will be the end of someone's "performance" or life.

For example, you would expect an ability with the name Rite of the Arcane to feel like some powerful magic stuff, but then the gameplay is rather unsatisfying when you are hitting people with exploding ping-pong balls. Another one is Mundo's Sadism, which really has nothing to do with sadism. Names are a good start to thematics, but it can't stop there.

Four is known in some cultures to represent death, in a similar manner to thirteen in the West (because thirteen people sat at the last supper, and one was a traitor).
Considering his theme is about killing or whatever, it kind of makes sense.
RiotWAAARGHbobo5 votesWe hid lots of fours in every part of Jhin. His kit, art, sound, and VO. He also has 16 pop culture references in him. (Unless something got cut without my knowledge.) Breaking the writers "rule of three" for his lore and VO was frequently painful but I think it was worthwhile.
One of the things champ team tries to do with these mini-themes is--quadruple down on them. So that even if you don't consciously notice them while playing the game- you will subconsciously feel them. And for a character who players should count shots with-- this seemed especially true.

Specifically, in any languages based on Hanzi such as Mandarin, Japanese, or Cantonese, the number Four sounds like the word for Death. It is considered unlucky to have 4 of anything in many Asian cultures. Often one would find the number to be omitted in similar ways Western cultures omit 13.
