The Juggernaut Club: Part 38

In the jungle, Garen has run into Nidalee (Stuck in her cougar form) as well as Kayle.

: What the crap are you doing here, Kayle?

: I could ask you the same thing. Anyways, I see you've found Mittens for me, so it appears thanks are in order!

: This isn't just some cat, Kayle. It's Nidalee, stuck in her cougar form. Now, I need to get to Noxus. What part of this blasted jungle leads to it? Do you happen to know?

Kayle's face, if it weren't covered by her helmet that is, would be showing a face of confused concern.

: Are you alright, Garen? I think all the time away from Demacia has messed with your head. We should get you home.

She tries to grab him by the shoulders to "give him a lift" home, but he wrestles free of her grip.

: I am quite in my right mind, thank you. And I'm not lying. This IS Nidalee.

The cougar (Nidalee) roars to try and confirm what Garen is saying to be true. She tries writing in the dirt again too.

: See? She's writing legible words and everything. I'll even read them for you.

As the words form, Garen reads them aloud.

: "The Justice-Man is right". He tenses up NOT the wording I would have used... but...let's continue. "I'm Nidalee, stuck in my cougar form because of this stupid collar you put on me! Now take it off before I claw your face off!"

However, instead of believing Garen (As well as the words Nidalee has clearly written), Kayle just comes up and pinches Nidalee's cheeks.

: Aren't you just the cutest little kitty, thinking you can write~

Angered, Nidalee swipes at Kayle, but Kayle dodges.

: Oops, have I gotten Mittens into some Fittens? Sorry~

: Fittens? Is that what you call a fit of rage? But anyway, where'd you get the Petricite you used for the collar?

: Is that what you want to know as your reward for helping me find Mittens? Sure, I guess I can tell you. Now...

Garen sits down, knowing he won't get away without having to hear this now.

: First, I suppose I should give some backstory. So, when Morg and me came to Runeterra, I wanted to stay together, and she wanted to move out and try living on her own. Well, I decided I'd humor her, and I let her open her little "Sinful Succulence" business in Noxus. And I learned something very important once she was all settled.

: What's that?

: Turns out, if you keep checking on your younger siblings, they file restraining orders on you! Well, I'm not one to let something as simple as that stop me, even IF it stated I have to stay out of Noxus's city limits according to its stipulations.

: So, while my main home IS in Demacia, I have a "summer home" here in the jungle, so I can keep an eye on Morg. From a distance as stated by the restraining order. I got bored sitting around one day, so I took a look around the jungle. Then, as I ripped through some foliage, I came across this wonderful kitty sleeping in the sun. So I decided I'd adopt it!

Nidalee growls in an annoyed fashion.

: But, in order to claim Mittens as my own, I needed a collar. So I flew on back to Demacia, and I was going to check in on the prince in his palace, but it sounded like he wasn't in a good mood, since there were things getting thrown out windows, and fights were going on in there.

(Thinking): She was THERE when I was chasing and pounding Xin? I never even SAW her.

: So I figured; since I'm a good friend and helper of Justice, I didn't think he'd mind if I just "borrowed" a little bit of Petricite for my own use. So I snuck into the warehouses, and grabbed a bit of the stuff. Problem is, I accidentally activated a tripwire, and I heard Galio waking up. And you know how "smart" She uses finger quotes when she says this he is.

: You're preaching to the choir on that one.

: Anyways, he wouldn't have looked too kindly on my "borrowing", and then I saw Sion out the window. I believe it went a little something like this...

The area fades around as we go into a wavy flashback...

In Demacia, Kayle is looking around the Petricite Warehouses. Eventually she finds an opened, half-empty box of Petricite. Smiling, she picks it up, and then hears a rumbling, causing her to stumble and cross a security tripwire. She looks out the windows, and sees that Sion is walking through the streets, trying to find the pathway up the mountain to Galio's perch. He sees Galio waking up (Since he is the "Security System").

: Ohh! YOU must be the "Golden Golem" or whatever that Swain told me about! Well, hi! I'm Sion, the Undead Juggernaut of Noxus, pleased to meet you!

Sion offers his hand in a friendly handshake to Galio as he opens his eyes. Looking at the warehouse, Galio sees the door has been broken down.

: Thievery... Injustice... detected!

: Beg your pardon?

: YOU ARE GUILTY!

Standing up, Galio rushes forward with his E, punching Sion right in the face and sending him flying into the air (Thus explaining how he came crashing down on the roof of the palace)!

: Imitates the Goofy Yell

: Ooh... that looks like it's going to cause some problems. Best make myself scarce!

She slips out of the warehouse, and flies off back towards the jungle.

The flashback ends.

: So then, I fashioned the Petricite into a collar, and now Mittens is all mine!

She grabs and nuzzles the still-annoyed Nidalee.

Garen is just covering his face in his hands.

: See? SEE!? YOU SEE, POPPY!? I DIDN'T DO A BLASTED THING! GAAAH!

He yells this at the sky in his frustration.

: Well, now that I've told MY side of the story, what's yours?

: Juggernaut Club. Lost membership. Trying to get it back. THAT'S ALL! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT?!

: Boy, SOMEONE'S got a bee in his bonnet! Come here, nuzzle Mittens and it'll all feel better~

Kayle pushes Nidalee up against Garen, and both look at her with deadpan expressions.

Garen then suddenly grabs the collar, and showing previously unknown levels of strength, he crushes the material, allowing Nidalee to slip out of it!

: MY COLLAR! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!? Hnn!

A bright light suddenly flashes, momentarily blinding her and Garen!

: Ahh, much better.

: Huh?

When the light fades, Nidalee is standing in front of Kayle, with her hands on her hips, tapping her foot in frustration.

: Mittens?

: My name is not MITTENS!

Letting out an angered shout, Nidalee brandishes her spear. She begins chasing Kayle angrily off into the jungle.

: IS THIS BECAUSE I FED YOU AFTER MIDNIGHT!?

Garen stands up. With a smile, he walks off into the jungle once more.
