Davis, the Combat Medic
This is my. . . I think third attempt in making this champion's concept. You probably don't recognize it because this wouldn't be a popular concept.
Stats: Attack - 50% Health - 30% Magic - 87% Difficulty - 60%
Attributes: Primary - Support Secondary - Mage
Abilities: Passive - Blood Sample (Replaces Mana Bar) As Davis uses basic attacks, he stores blood into his blood sample kit which will increase the effectiveness of his abilities as it grows higher. As he levels up, the amount of blood he can carry increases. He gains more blood if he lands the kill.
First Ability - Shock Therapy Davis decreases the amount of time a buff remains active on an enemy or a debuff is placed on an ally. As his blood sampling grows higher, Shock Therapy decreases the buff or debuff even further (Even to the point where it deactivates the buff or debuff completely). Each shock deals magic damage plus damage bonus from ability power.
Second Ability - Rescue Launcher Davis launches an orb on a selected spot that will heal all nearby allies including Davis himself around it for 3 seconds, then detonates to quickly heal even more health to the affected allies who remain within the radius. Gaining more blood sample increases the amount of base health it heals plus it heals more bonus health based on ability power.
Third Ability - Adrenaline Rush Davis can use Adrenaline Rush on himself or an ally. Whoever is affected will have bonus to all their stats. The buff effects give more bonus to Davis if he uses it on himself. Gaining more blood samples increases the buff's effects.
Ultimate - High Voltage Defibrillator/Stunner (I need a better word than "Stunner") Davis fires a High Voltage bolt on a target.
- If firing the bolt on an enemy, the enemy is stunned from 2-4 seconds depending on the amount of blood sample you have. The target afterwards deals less magic and physical damage for 3 more seconds.
- The High Voltage Bolt can also target and revive a dead ally, giving back 50% of their health and increases their movement speed and both physical and magic damage for 3 more seconds.
Hidden Passive - More Blood
Using basic attacks on
or
will give him more blood samples.
Tips: Playing as Davis -
- Keep close to your teammates. Adrenaline Rush is a melee range ability.
- Learn to last hit minions as you farm in lanes early game. You can gain more blood samples if you last hit a target.
- In team fights, use Rescue Launcher at where allies and enemies are most crowded.
- It is safer to use High Voltage Defibrillator on fallen allies who are away from team fights.
Playing against Davis -
- Davis is extremely vulnerable when fighting alone, giving you the opportunity to ambush him.
- Attack Davis after he revives his dead ally. High Voltage is much deadlier if used on your teammates.
- Davis is your number one target. Always bring your focus on him during team fights.
- Keep an eye on Davis's Blood Sample Gauge. It is better to use buffs if the Blood Sample Gauge is low.
Synergy:
Works well with -
The Emperor could use a doctor as long as he knows how to fend for him. If an ally is in need of rescuing, Emperor's Divide can push the enemies away from the fallen ally, giving Davis the chance to revive them.
With a guardian angel on his side, Intervention gives Davis more time to rescue or heal teammates while under attack by enemies that surround him.
One Adrenaline Rush makes a crazy gunner even more crazy. As Jinx gets excited, Adrenaline Rush would make Jinx even more powerful and faster to destroy enemies that chase or run from the team.
Struggles against -
It's hard to beat the inventor of your weapon, especially when logic is in play. In order for Davis to get blood samples from Heimerdinger, he'd have to get pass his turrets. He can't get blood from those turrets because. . . well. . . they're mere machines. You can't get blood from machines unless it gets covered in blood which rarely happens in Heimerdinger's case.
Davis should always watch his back and stick with the team unless he wants to be hunted. With Thrill of the Hunt, Davis won't be able to evade or heal at the right moment if he doesn't suspect Rengar's presence.
Speaking of backs, the worst thing Davis has to watch out for is a cruel back stabber who will laugh once he dies. Shaco's Backstab is the perfect initiation for killing Davis on sight.
Lore: Davis was once a medic mercenary hired by the Demacian Government to rescue high classed soldiers who have been wounded in the battlefield. It wasn't easy for Davis, especially considering his experiencing with treating fallen patience in the middle of the battlefield. He had to use barbaric procedures due to limited amount of resources and the fight taking place all around him. Many of his colleagues hired alongside him were killed as they attempted to rescue fallen soldiers. Some of them died from diseases and infections.
During the attack at the walls of Noxus, Davis was sent to safe guard King Jarvan and his Royal Guards. His mission was a failure after he, the royal guards, and the king were defeated by a giant warrior, wielding a powerful Axe. When the King was killed, Survival was Davis's only option. Noxian soldiers were pursuing Davis, trapping him in trenches. He manages to hold off the attack for three weeks. Before then, Davis had to deal with cold weather, muddy and wet ground conditions, and both rodents and insects contaminating his food supply. By the time he was rescued, he was rushed to a Demacian medical camp to treat his infections and diseases. Davis was soon discovered to have Trenchfoot, which was caused by the lack of cleaning cold and wet mud and dirt off his feet. Davis had no choice but to amputate his legs. They were soon replaced with Iron feet, developed by scientists from Piltover who are now experimenting with the contaminated feet to find ways to prevent this infection from happening. Davis was soon able to return back into the fields to continue rescuing soldiers. This time, he was sent behind the front lines to treat rescued patience.
His methods of treatment were becoming obsolete as time passes. He joined scientists in Piltover to find a more evolved way to easily rescue soldiers who have fallen in the battlefield. They soon began the development of a rifle that both rescues allies and kills soldiers at the same time. The prototype was tested in the Battle of Kathamandu where Davis was deployed. The results showed many Demacian soldiers returning home and many other Noxian soldiers being forced to retreat.
After testing the prototype, it was time to invent the next product. Soon, Davis was given the most useful weapon any doctor can make use of. The weapon is fueled with blood and limited magic. The magic from the weapon was used to help extract blood from targets while blood helps the weapon's capabilities complete its procedures more efficiently. Before they can make one that can use magic alone, Davis will have to test out this next product in the Fields of Justice.
"Every soldier needs to stay healthy. Eat, rest, stay unhurt, and remain clean as much as you can. It'll make my job a lot easier." - Davis
Appearance: Davis and his abilities (Excluding Passive) are all based on a character from a Flash Game called Sonny, a character named Veradux whom has the same title, Combat Medic. Here's one of the fan images drawn by a user (Not by me) from Deviant Art. http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2014/236/b/9/veradux_by_vuongga01234-d7wgfn0.jpg
The theme of this character is obviously a technological healer type support. The game has always lacked supports and it's becoming a controversy at least from my prospective. A lot of team builders always ask for supports and yet no one likes to play as them. Not just in League of Legends but in other games too, like Team Fortress 2. The supports we play with today aren't fitting my kind of style. They are all magical type supports and majority of them are female. And I only mean champions with primary roles as support. The ones that have it as secondary roles like Heimerdinger, do not count. I just want a support male gunner. Taric is a support male champion but he's a melee fighter and is too. . . fabulous for my style.
