Support mage items that other mages won't use.

For context I made this thread in which the tldr is make support items that increase BASE damages instead of adding ap. But I decided to make some examples of what I mean.

*Note: These are just rough estimates

The Layzee Cheatsheet Cost - item 1052 + 365g Increase base damage by 3 * skill level. +10% cooldown

item 3303 Line

item 3303 +5AP +1 damage per skill level

item 3098 +10AP +2 damage per skill level

item 2301 +25AP +3 damage per skill level

item 3092 +50AP +5 damage per skill level Cost: item 3098 + The Layzee Cheatsheet + 550g

Note: all base damage increases only work on abilities that proc spell effects.

That's the gist of it. There would be a lot of tweaking needed to be done and whatnot but I think this could allow a lot more diverse items to be made for the support class. Also any outliers that may abuse the new stat can easily be brought in line with some numbers adjustments.

Any critiques?

Increasing base damages wouldn't really limit an item only to the support role, any champion that has damage that relies more on base damage than scalings might find these items worth getting, thought with the numbers you listed it's not likely to be picked up even by supports for the damage, the 25 AP that these items give currently also helps with heals, shields and any other utility spells with a scaling, even if it isn't a lot it does help. This is something that would have more synergy with a magic penetration build, like the sorcery mastery.
