so sword of the occult has been out of the game for a while and mejaiis has remained i just cant help wondering why mejaiis stays because it seems like it would be a super fun item to use and a balanced one due to the fact that you lose alot of stacks on death it could be edited so that you lose even more stacks on death i just want an ad equivalent to go for when i play champions who feel like their late games are too bad like pantheon for example and i want more damage to get through these bloody tanks i realise that champions like jax and akali can abuse these items due to the fact that they have ad and ap scalings but it just seems to good to forget

I'm afraid that Sword of the Occult will not return in the state it was. Even if it does return, it will not act as an AD version of Mejai's. Far too many champs are already designed with getting early game kills, and Sword of the Occult is universally useful. Any champ can technically build it, and having an item such as it is just asking for people to snowball and ruin the game for their opponents.
