That would be way too similar to Mecha Aatrox. All that might be different would be sawblades instead of a laser sword, but that would be a waste of work.

They need to make Ascended Aatrox (or Pre-Icathia Aatrox).

Justicar is a nod to the former Ascended form of Aatrox

Mecha is a different theme than praetorian

I could settle for praetorian sion, orrn, darius, or kayn(that one could be really cool)

Uh... no, no it's not. That's completely false. The Darkin were not fallen Ascended when Justicar was created, so it's not even possible that the design could've been a nod to him being Ascended. That story element didn't exist yet. Justicar Aatrox is what it is-- an ARCLIGHT skin.

And again, no, not really. While there is something to be said about Battlecast, Mecha, and Program all being very different-- because they are-- the Praetorian skins are very visually similar to the Mecha skins. Hence, a Praetorian skin for Sion wouldn't work either, but for Ornn, Darius, or Kayn, sure, since they don't already have robotic skins.

The original Justicar skin for Aatrox wasn't based with that in mind, But the REWORKED aatrox almost definitely was. if it is not exact, it is at least close

No, no it wasn't. Not even a little. It was simply made to match the new model an animations while sticking true to the Justicar theme of the old one.

Otherwise they could have made the wings gold like in the lore, but they didn't. Because it is not a nod to his ascended form-- no more than you could claim his entire model is a "nod" to it since his base is supposed to be an approximation of his old form according to the lore.

Just face the facts. It's not. Hell, Justicar Aatrox came out when Shurima didn't even exist. And the new model did not update it beyond the old look.

The skin doesn't change the size of your champion to the size of a giant monster fighter --and also the story is about them fighting each other, not monsters.

But the point is they are VISUALLY similar. The battlecast and program skins have particular color schemes and generally incorporate a lot of roundness in their designs. Similarly, the mecha and praetorian skins are completely angular, lacking any roundness at all.

So a praetorian Aatrox would be just as angular as the Mecha skin, with only slight differences. Not big enough differences to warrant creating the skin.
