Possible Yi Rework
Hello, before I get to the changes I imagine for Master Yi's abilities and game play I would like to have a bit of backstory. I played Master Yi for a large portion of Season 3 and 4 before I became a support main and I really like him. Not only was his game play easy enough for a beginner to learn the basics of league but he also had the ability to have huge payoffs. Now when I look at Yi he seems stale as an experienced player and I think people give him a lot more hell then he deserves, so here is my image of how Riot can improve Yi through a rework.
Passive: Wuju Style Master Yi starts the game off with Wuju, he looses Wuju for 2.5 seconds after an ability is finished casting.
Wuju Master Yi gains 10% extra AD. Master Yi gains stacks whenever he auto-attacks, when he gets to 4 stacks his next auto-attack will strike twice dealing 60% damage on the second strike.
Q: Alpha Strike Master Yi blinks to his target dealing on-hit damage and applying on-hit effects. After blinking to a target that target becomes marked, marks last for 5 seconds. If Master Yi has 3 stacks of Wuju up when he uses Alpha Strike he will also his up to 3 enemies nearby to his target and consume all stacks of Wuju. Master Yi is untargetable while blinking. Master Yi's Alpha Strike can critically hit dealing 60% less crit damage. A marked enemies cannot be the target of Alpha Strike. Auto-attacking lowers Alpha Strikes cooldown by 1 second. Costs: 25/45/65/85/105 MANA Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14 Damage: 30/45/60/75/90+(100% AD)
W: Meditate Master Yi passively gains meditative stacks from not being in combat with enemy champions. Entering combat with enemy champions causes these stats to decay at 20%/second. Activating Meditate consumes all meditative stacks and Master Yi begins to channel a heal. He takes 30% reduced damage while in this state and can only channel for up to 4 seconds. Costs: 15 MANA/second Cooldown: 26 Heal: (30/40/50/60/70+(110% AP)+Meditative Stacks Consumed)/4/second Max Meditative Stacks: 80/100/120/140/160
E: Highlander All of Master Yi's abilities passively reset his auto attacks. On activation Master Yi gains an extra 10% movement speed and 30% attack speed. Master Yi gains 90% resistance to slows. Costs: 120 MANA Cooldown: 22
R: Hidden Art Master Yi gains 3 stacks of Ghost. When Master Yi auto-attacks an enemy champion he losses a stack of Ghost and creates a clone of himself auto-attacking the enemy champion. That clone will chase after that champion until either Hidden Art ends or the enemy champion dies, if he dies that clone will return to Master Yi as a Ghost stack. On activation of Highlander all of Master Yis clones gain the same buff. Hidden Art lasts for 7 seconds. Apon getting a kill or assist the duration of Hidden Art is increased by 1 second. Costs: 130 MANA Cooldown: 185
This is just my thoughts on what Master Yi could be. I had a lot of fun coming up for ideas for this and although a lot of it stayed the same everything was changed to give it a bit more purpose. I would love to hear your feedback so that I can change and improve for next time. [slayer-jinx-catface]
