DJ Sona

Sona has always been a champion that was nice to look at, and to play in my books. But her new DJ skin takes it to a whole new level for me, it looks amazing and I honestly cannot wait for it to be released.

To further my opinion on DJ Sona, I think it's a very unique skin compared to a lot of others in the game. While Sona does have Arcade, and we all assumed it would look alike, we were completely wrong. I have to say,** I love that she isn't wearing the same dress she wears in every skin.** The ability to turn her music on and off is amazing, because if you don't like it, you don't have to hear it. It's not like Riot said, *"HERE TAKE THIS ANNOYING SKIN WITH MUSIC YOU CAN'T TURN OFF." * The fact that you can toggle the music choices is also very interesting to me, and I think the elaboration and effort put into this skin puts it above Spirit Guard Udyr and Pulsefire Ezreal.

Riot, you have once again succeeded in making me give you all my money.** All of it. I NEED THIS SKIN.**

So anyways, the whole point of this - What are your opinions? Do you like the skin? Are there any changes you'd make? Theories on release dates and such are welcome, I'd love to hear what you think. Sona

this skin is an insult to women and throws a paperbag over her head and still shows shit tons of cleavage basically saying a womans face doesnt matter

this shit looks more like dj lissandra with that fucking derp helmet on than dj sona

why not headphones? she has large hair accessories in her default skin that easily could have been them and it would hvae been more appropriate then they gave her the worst fucking voice I would rather hear an autotuned version of teemo at least I could fucking understand that

I can't wait for this skin! I'll buy it as soon as its available. I'm so happy they made a skin for a champ I actually play quite a bit!

Speaking as a woman, this skin definitely is not an insult to women. Didn't daft punk say the reason they wear helmets is because it's not about them, it's about the music. This is exactly what this skin is about, pure music! Even her hair isn't real hair in the model, it represents the flow of sound.

Now back on topic, this skin is amazing and personally I think it's the best ultimate skin to date. Great job Riot, and thank you for putting so much effort into such an amazing skin. As a huge music and Sona fan, I am in pure bliss right now.

Best skin by far. My only complaint is that her head doesn't seem to bob to the rhythm... if you're gonna make 3 separate models for a skin, and a system to switch between them, is it so hard to time the animations to the beat?

Sorry to say, the skin has been made a 100% complete waste of effort, by the "balance" and "rework" teams. She died on July 30th when Fearless killed her. Had that not happened, I'd be more excited about this than anyone. After 32+ nerfs in these past 6 months, I just can't bring myself to care enough.

It's truly sad, I've played Sona more than any champion. I joined League to be a Sona main and probably have around a thousand games on her. I don't know why Riot hates her, I just know that they do. Now I'm the one made to suffer just because Riot has a deep-seated hatred for the one champion that I love the most.

I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand the logic behind nerfing a character so harshly that she becomes "Roll Tier", then subsequently releasing a $32 skin for her.

I love how it looks. The music is good, the changes of appearance are nice, and i like that your allies can choose to listen to it or not.

I 100% hate the VO though, and i'd refuse to buy it just for that. I have no idea what she is saying.

I was looking forward to it since I heard about it 7 months ago. Had no idea what Riot were gonna do. Every forum I visited everyone was crying about it being Sona and not Zed, or how it was going to be too similar to Arcade Sona. But damn. Just damn Rito. Damn. Take my money item 3096

it would be a cool idea if later on you sell updates to this skin or something ? like add more tracks with their own color layout or something like that ? or just different tracks for all 3 different pallet swaps ? maybe 250 RP for a different track with no changes to the model or something like that ?

that would be boss and i would soooo drop cash on that every time a new one came out !

also if you think about it since its a 30$ skin and has more added effects then any other skin i would say that any other skin that you can do something like this.. selling upgrades in a way i said you could do for sona then i would jump on that.... i know im not alone in saying that if sona has a way to buy extra tracks people would pay for that, any way riot take my blank check now PLEASE !!!!! Sona

I like the skin a lot EXCEPT for the music. I get that it's a DJ, but a freaking hate that whole genre of music. The ethereal skin sounded nice until it started sounding like club music was mixed in. Totally musical taste, but the music sounds like shit to me. Would have bought it otherwise.

 To first state I voted that "yes" I liked this skin, however there are two things that I don't really like about the skin that are of the utmost importance to change and I hope Riot will change in a ![summoner 4](https://raw.communitydragon.org/latest/plugins/rcp-be-lol-game-data/global/default/data/spells/icons2d/summoner_flash.png) before its to late. It is concerning the Ethereal skin's beat/soundtrack and helmet.

Here is where I would like to list off the few problems I see with the soundtrack:

  1. The beginning is way to weak, isn't elegant enough, and way too slow.
  2. Nor does it have enough beat to it for a typical DJ mood. (I can see that they were going for a soothing feel, but Nami 's theme song was much better and flowing and the Ethereal skin seems to be trying to do just that with more base, yet it fails to do both very well.
  3. It feels like it was sort of put together at the last moment just to have a soundtrack for the last /toggled skin of the three.
  4. AND it sounds a bit of like the song that Feona sings on the movie "Shrek"! (This is at the beginning of the Ethereal's soundtrack if you pay attention to it.)
  5. Then generally overall no one will want to listen to it for a very long time compared to the other two soundtracks

Now Concerning the Helmet: * I would like to also make a note on the appearance of the Ethereal skin, the fact of the matter is the helmet/face. It does still look awesome, however I feel it needs a slight tweak to improve the quality of it. So when you look at the Kinetic helmet its the first one you see and you say "Awesome it looks Amazing!", then you see the Concussive helmet and it covers her whole face and your like "That's even more Awesome that it changes to a full helmet!", however you then see the Ethereal helmet and your like "It looks cool with all the colors but haven't I seen it before? Oh yeah it looks the same as the Kinetic helmet!"

 * I do say have to say that since the appearance of the Concussive helmet changes to a full helmet the Ethereal helmet should look unique and different as well instead of looking like the Kinetic helmet with just different colors. I personally feel, that what would make the Ethereal helmet cool/Awesome, is if they would make it kind of like a purple-ish visor that was a smooth flowing shape around the location of ![Sona](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.16.1/img/champion/Sona.png)'s eyes to the part of her exposed face (so tinted dark colored shades basically that allow you to see her eyes just slightly), this would make it look Awesome and still okay with the same shape/coverage of the face on the Ethereal helmet.

 I hope that Riot sees my post and I hope they change the Ethereal skin before its to late or I almost guarantee that it is going to be the one /toggled skin that will be the least popular and disliked out of the three choices among League of Legends community. It just doesn't seem like a Riot quality finished product and I will be greatly disappointed if they don't change it and so will thousands of others. As I myself what to buy it, but I don't think I can bring myself to buying it, if it doesn't change for the better.

Well Riot did write thet there are a lot more thing to do until the skin is finished... so said Galetta and KateyKhaos ( http://www.surrenderat20.net/2015/02/red-post-collection-dj-sona-will-not-be.html ) but the skin IS ALREADY FINISHED AND PLAYABLE ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrJ2DI16WGQ so i thought if riot could release the skin in 5.3 but update it to the finished version later because Sona rocks so Please Riot could zou speed up a little at least because i a really summoner 3 bout not being released the skin in 5.3 ... well my opinion is that theskin is the most epic skin ever and not offensing at all i asked my friend (a girl but not my girlfriend...) if she finds it offensive and she says that its not so dont have a item 3110 and stop complaining thx

I think this is a really cool skin idea and the music is fun to listen too (ethereal sounds like it's from a '60s cartoon that didn't age well) but it honestly looks like she's dressed up in a BDSM suit.
