Can we please have a new champion that isn't a human(or a cat)?

I don't know about you guys but I'm getting really tired of getting only human champions again and again. I know riot is always trying to find their new ahri and akali to sell more skins but cmon what happened to monster champions like vel koz or animal style champions like volibear? It's sad how we have to rely on reworks to get non human champions. The next champion in line is an ionian juggernaut who will proly use his fists so its most likely another human.

They aren't as popular. I think it's that simple.

Riot has discussed this before, but the more animalistic the champ, the lower interest there is. Unfortunate for those that love them, for sure, but that's how it be.

I mean..... what classifies as human?

Vastaya and all their subclasses are not human. Void creatures are not exactly human (although Malzahar and Kai'sa i suppose are). Yordles are not human. Most of the Shadow Isles stuff is not human.... Ivern is not human.... trolls are not human.... yeti not human... the list goes on.

Do they have some humanoid characteristics? Well yes. Because we are so full of ourselves that we classify everything on if it looks like us or not. Monkeys are "humanoid" but we evolved from monkeys, so why not say monkeynoid? They had the characteristics long before we did.

This might be the type of discussion furries would have. Jokes aside, Riot should care about all of their champions. If they made them, it's kind of THEIR fault that neglected champions are unpopular. While someone like Yasuo gets mechanics that are well known for being fun to play and multiple skins. Who doesn't want to be a wind swordsman? But I want AurelionSol and Shyvana to have more attention because dragons are cool, yet Sol still has 2 skins and Shyvana is in need of an update.

first of all ionia is home to most of the vastayah afaik, so him being human isn't 100% confirmed.

that aside they're just not as popular. so you might be getting tired of getting humans, the community clearly ain't. to most people someone like garen is just 100x cooler than some deviant art oc.

Yuumi is more animalistic than volibear so idk why she supposedly doesn't count.

No reason whatsoever why Yuumi couldn't have been a Yordle. A magic talking cat that has nothing to do with her Yordle master's magic has no relevance or precedent in the lore whatsoever to exist. :/

Nothing rules out a vastaya or something weirder, we will just have to wait and see.

Sounds like you want a bird, just a hunch

I'm not trying to blast my page or be "spammy" but I just posted an idea for a robot champion shaped like a cube. Look up "B L O X" if you're interested. But I agree, too many humanoids.

I'm fine with the human champions but they just don't allow as much creativity. Look at RekSai , her model in-game is fucking incredible and her animations are cool. It's something unique. I get the fact humans are popular but think of how creative plenty of the non-human champions are, and how uncreative the newer humans are. That's my problem with it.
