Changes the ball into a human - like puppet. I feel like the ball it limits the creativity of her skins.

Could relate to the background of orianna wanting to become human.
The ball does in fact limit the creativity of her skins- you want change the ball, you have to rig whole new assets and animations for both it and Oriana herself and run a whole new set of tests to make sure both work properly on their own and with each other.
Meanwhile, re-texturing the ball to be another kind of ball and/or adding or changing particle effects for its abilities doesn't require nearly as much hassle, though that alone is still a considerable amount of work.
If you change her ball into a puppet person, it would create too much visual confusion imo.
