Could relate to the background of orianna wanting to become human.
CobaltTheMadMage2 votesThe ball does in fact limit the creativity of her skins- you want change the ball, you have to rig whole new assets and animations for both it and Oriana herself and run a whole new set of tests to make sure both work properly on their own and with each other.
Meanwhile, re-texturing the ball to be another kind of ball and/or adding or changing particle effects for its abilities doesn't require nearly as much hassle, though that alone is still a considerable amount of work.
