I think a fun skin for Swain would be a Dracula-esque kind of setup. His birds would be replaced with a bird-bat hybrid. You can still do the purple area on the ground for his root, but make it so it looks like bat-birds are wrapping themselves around your feet/ legs.

i agree swain need a new skin, only mage in lol that is neglected by riot :C not like some other mages (yes you lux! another skin and make it an ultimate because she dosent have enough skins already :P lets give her 10 more. its an awesome skin though ).
i think a dragon lord/ dragon trainer swain skin will be cool :P. he was the general of noxus... dragons sound more fitting for the title
