league of legends open world game ?

I like this, it could work and the idea for making it into something like diablo sounds great because League is already a top down game it would work the same way but instead of having just the rift you would have a starting area in a city (maybe of your choosing) and a class to chose from like; Mage, Support and all that kind of stuff. Items could help you build into late game gear like a Long Sword Building into IE and so on. So making League into an open world game could actually work.

Explain in detail how you think this would work.

Every time I see something like this I always think of a diablo type game with league instead. You champion would be you choosing one of the classes (i.e. Vanguard, battle mage, juggernaut, etc). Still allowing you to be different not a champion from league. And you would explore all of runeterra and you would see all your favorite champs in the game and gain more lore. Maybe even have Easter eggs like the secret cow level but instead it's the arcade world or hidden raid boss baron.
