Remake System Proposed Updates

I’m sure we’ve all been there where a player connects initially only to disconnect and never come back, thus making a remake game impossible.

My suggestion is to base remakes on 3 factors:

  • Never connecting in the first place
  • Away from game for XX% of elapsed time
  • Instill a minimum time disconnected to avoid abuse from someone relogging to fix lag.

My idea as a guideline would be to have a 7:30 minute threshold that a player has to be disconnected (total, not consecutive time) up until the 10 minute mark to unlock remake of the original system of never connecting is bypassed by immediate connection and then disconnection. The formula would work based on a 75% [suggested] disconnect time over total elapsed game time over the course of the game. E.g. I disconnect at 5 minutes game time. When the clock hits 20 minutes without any success at reconnection, my team would be able to vote for remake.

Obviously this is a larger time frame example and would leave the enemy team feeling robbed, but the overall effect of my disconnect ruins the integrity of the match. Perhaps they get a bonus of a small amount of blue essence (no more then 50-100 based on length) for enduring a remake match longer than today’s algorithm allows for.

Seems like a decent Idea, Only main concern I have is duos abuseing this.

Lets say something happened before the 5 min mark, (For example, lakers are already starting to die repeatedly, jungle got invaded, things like that), where the game was bound to not go well, one of the duos could just disconnect and the remake would eventually trigger.

I like the idea, but Im just concerned about this minor issue.
