Crimson Elite Skins?

So, both and received Crimson Elite skins I believe on release and it was a really cool concept with a cool backstory and I was really hyped up about where Riot was going to go with it but... sadly that was the last we ever heard of the Crimson Elites. (Riven's skin isn't anything special let's be honest but that's not the point) Did they just scrap the idea or get caught up with mass producing champions/new skins they completely forgot about it? Anyone else feel like they should revive the Crimson Elites and do something like the Bilgewater storyline/skins?
