#Adelaide - The Dog on The Loose Role: AD Assassin Diver Lanes: Top / Mid / Jungle Theme: A playful champion who slices everything up with her claws, agile movement, and personality!

##Appearance http://imgur.com/a/QTMep http://imgur.com/a/TSOyt http://imgur.com/WAHBXzu

Adelaide is a slim-build woman in her 20's wearing light armor and bracers on her arms. She has long hair but has it tied up with a hair tie (shown in the reference picture) and propping up are her pair of dog ears (shown in the second picture). FYI, those bracers come attached with sharp claws. ( Be careful with those! ) Yes, she has a tail.

Good luck me typing the whole thing here, instead, I'll be using pastebin.com

#Abilities Preview / Explanations Innate - Frisky Nature [New Ability]

After using an ability, Adelaide's next attack on enemy champions or large monsters will strike twice in one succession, dealing reduced damage and marking them as prey. This passive has a static cooldown but ticks faster on each basic attack.

Only one enemy can be marked at a time, otherwise the target changes to the new one. Her attacks and abilities against prey do bonus effects.

Everything about wind counters has been removed, instead, her passive now helps her apply the mark on enemies.

Q - Far-Reaching Claws [New Active]

Adelaide's second attack on marked prey will inflict the enemy with bleed over 2 seconds. The enemy can only have two bleed stacks.

Adelaide slows herself down, channeling for the given duration. She can move during this time and can activate this ability again after 1 second. Additional seconds increase the area of effect.

Recast: She slows and damages an area in front of her, applying a mark on the enemy nearest to the right. Mark prioritizes enemy champions. In addition, prey is crippled instead for the duration.

This is no longer a free mark-on-prey, instead, an ability that work's similar to Sion's Q, also, added effect against prey. This ability still works as a way to apply the mark.

W - Savage Rake [Number Fixes]

Adelaide swipes all enemies around her, dealing damage to those in proximity. The damage increases the more HP the enemy was missing.

If there's prey in proximity 2 seconds after the ability, she will rake enemies around her again, dealing half the damage.

######Good ability at the start of combat, and also helps secure enemies at the end.

E - Heartfelt Excitement [Revised Ability] When she's near prey, this ability ticks down twice as fast.

Adelaide dashes forward. She dashes further and pulls enemies down the ground with her for 1 second when it's cast towards prey.

######Ability can be used to dodge attacks or reach very close enemies but can be better used as an engage towards prey.

R - Play Date [Totally New Ability] Adelaide selects a target enemy champion and reveals them to herself. After channeling for some time, Adelaide warns the target enemy and starts a massive sprint for 6 seconds, gaining movement speed at the start, but gradually gaining more the further she ran.

Attacking or using an ability on the selected enemy will prematurely end the effect. ######Revised ability but the same feeling: I felt like everything else about her kit had everything she needed, so her ultimate is just a tool to get to the enemy.

#Strengths and Weaknesses ##Strengths

  • Strong instant AOE damage on Q and W.
  • Initiating ability can CC a couple enemies along with her to one compiled location.
  • Ultimate allows her to speed up to vulnerable targets from afar.
  • Stacking bleed can wear down enemy HP effectively.
  • Q ability can slow down a lot of enemies in order to catch up.
  • Abilities have even stronger effects on prey.
  • ( I think that's all of them? )

##Weaknesses

  • Only mobility is ( still ) tied to ultimate. E is an initiating ability, not a mobility spell.
  • The combo can be easily disrupted by CC or wrong timing.
  • ( Still ) No sustain or resistance.
  • ( I swear there's more ... I'm just not seeing it)

#Changelog

2/5/17: Custom Champion Concept released. The kit is established. Everything else is missing.

2/6/17: Added Strengths and Weaknesses and Combos.

2/7/17: This day is a doozy. 3 new abilities: Innate, Q, and ultimate. E got revised. W got number fixes. There's also some number >changes I didn't check.

Q not only applies the mark but also has bonus effects on prey. W got number fixes. E is changed to dash forward from leap to ally or enemy. Removed charm but added pull down stun. Her E now has bonus effects on prey. I need critique if these brand new abilities are too strong, please check, also, I will not be listing the old abilities here. They will be down below. Check the date.

... And I believe that's what I got for now! Thanks for reading my custom champion concept. Opinions on her kit would be appreciated. Ideas are also appreciated! Look for this post to pop up again when I get to update it.

Also, another FYI: I will be posting a revised and new update of my first (posted) champion concept: Hannah - The Prisoner of War (Old Version) down the line. As of right now, I am not satisfied with her E. Her ultimate and passive seems alright. Q and W might or might not get a change...

Making the post for her right now...

I have more custom champion concepts in the way, all ~30 (?) of them, but the best thing I'm looking forward to right now is actually finishing this post and releasing a revamped version of Hannah - The Prisoner of War (Old Version)

Edit: This is getting more difficult to edit, please feel free to point out any weird grammatical mistakes made in this post or ability description.

Morning bump! Listed her Strengths and Weaknesses. Look for a later update this evening.

Great now I feel like playing Skyrim again... .. . Oh right the concept:

Passive: I don't see the need for a seperate resource, when her abilities don't interact with it much (only E), you want a ressource when your enemy should always be able to track it (can he cast ability X, does he have empowered abilities etc.) Do it like with Jax's passive and make it a stackable buff, which brings me to: Isn't that just his under a different name?

Q: Lock down as in Warwicks Q or how does this work? Refreshable bleed debuff isn't exactly new, but fits her theme.

W: Missing %HP AOE with a weakened second activation Pretty basic clearing tool, which also helps in securing kills.

E: targeted jump + Charm Although I like the idea, unlike Ahri a charm seems to make little sense in her kit. Why is there no prey interaction?

R: Worse Rengar ult ? Only short invisibility and MS buff

Her kit seems interesting and thematic, but she lacks a clear identity or power fantasy that would make me want to see her as a champion. Overall very well made though.

First: I love the character design. That kemonomimi would definitely be a nice addition to the champion pool in my opinion.

About the kit: You say that she is intended as an AD assassin, but right now she lacks something really important for that role! An escape! Right now she has a kit more fitting for a diver, she has excellent engage, but when she is in the middle of a battle, she struggles to get out of it. So maybe you could change something to enable her that? Besides that she seems really solid.

Keep up the good work. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

This update might or might not break her identity ... as always, please check above!!!

##Changelog

Everything about Wind / Momentum counters have been removed out of existence. Her old passive, attack speed steroid similar to Jax, has been changed to > a "double strike" yi passive but marks enemy as prey.

Q is no longer a similar imitation of Warwick Q. It now works like Vi's Q channel, but instead, she slashes an area in front of her, still applying the right-most >enemy as prey, and slowing them. It has bonus effects on prey: she will cripple prey for the duration instead.

W is the same. Just number fixes here.

E's functionality has been changed. It is no longer a LEAP to ally or enemy, instead, it is a FORWARD DASH. This ability now has bonus effects on prey: she will > charge even forward and drag enemies down with her for 1 second.

Her theme has essentially been changed to a diver. She's really fragile, but can really hurt enemies from 100 to 0 real quick once she gets in.

for a move to set her apart

maybe a bounce of the enemy champ that bounces you back like quinn

and a move that turns you into a bouncing torpedo

This keeps reminding me of a certain hero in "Heroes of Order and Chaos"

LunaGalaxy142/12/2017, 6:36:23 AM1 votes

:T She very well might be a good solid champion to enter in CCOS, but I don't know if I fixed the issues of her not standing out as a champion...

I mean, I got a really tentative new kit that might make her unique, but she's somewhat way different than she was now, so I'm not sure if I should keep the character and go on with this new tentative kit for CCOS or just make a brand new custom champion along with the new kit.

For the most part, this tentative kit I have in my head is somewhat similar to Adelaide, but it's also kind of waaaaaay different than she is now.

Because what I'd be doing, I'd be removing most of the un-needed stuff in this kit right now, change how her Prey is applied and how it works, immediately add a brand new ultimate, add an interaction between her kit and critical chance ( something like Jhin's critical strike interaction ), and possibly perhaps, give her an escape instead. If I do this, she might turn into more of an AD Assassin which isn't bad, because she already somewhat satisfies that already: good damage, leap that ticks twice as fast, tl;dr "prey mechanics," and squishy resistance.

She just needs that mobility in exchange for the crowd control she can dish out and add the critical strike & prey interaction.

and ... Bam, you got a unique take of a melee AD Assassin Jhin.

I will be thinking about this reaaaaaal hard. Any thoughts on this will be appreciated! I might be asking too much, but yeah, deal with it.

That will be it! I'll be signing off now and updating this post to match the new E and possible new ultimate soon. Watch out for the new version of Hannah - The Prison of War to appear some time soon!

:^) New kit will probably just come out with a new character...in a different post. Did I mention this new champion's interaction with critical strike, maybe... % health missing damage on every critical strike! Ha, watch out!
