Ultimate Skin Qualifications?

Hey Legends,

I was wondering if anybody knew what necessarily qualifies a champion for ultimate skins. I am personally a huge fan of them, and would purchase them if they ended up being for one of my main characters. I would like to see more of them come out from Riot, and was wondering if anybody has heard of more in the works. Especially one for :D. Comment below with other champions you would like to see with an ultimate skin, and maybe the champion listed the most will get Riot's attention.

There's only two to derive "qualifications" from, but it's basically:

Entire new voice over.
Evolving and complex character model.
A lot of VFX.

If by qualify you mean the champions most people think the skin will be for, then I think it's narrowed down to Zed, Xerath, Lux, and Sona.

Zed has a chance i think from those four, but the others just have too many skins already and it would seem kind of out of the blue considering they said this person NEEDS skins.

Kha'zix might get it too, not saying hes the only other option but I main him and i'd like to point that out :)

Not really. Like Katarina and Nidalee both have a massive amount of skins and are getting this years Lunar Revel skins. So just because a champion has a wide array of skins doesn't mean they can't get another one fairly soon. Personally I still believe that the next Ultimate skin is indeed Sona.

Zed has a skin in the works I'm sure as there is a splash place holder still in the game files for him (as well as Hecarim) but I don't see him getting an Ultimate skin as he's still more or less on the newer end of champions. The previous two being Ezreal and Udyr are some of the older champions released in the game, so I really see an older champ like Sona getting it next. Would also love to see a new one for Lux but her I dunno about ultimate and Xerath I really can't see that.

Keep in mind im referring to the official morello "hints" to the next ultimate skin, not some legacy skins.

Another hint was "Assassin".

Morello might be trolling, but he probably isn't lying. DJ Sona 99% confirmed as skin though according to PBE files. (Not confirmed as ultimate skin, just a skin.)

I've never read anything about an official hint saying anything about "assassin". All I've seen was things like "the forth letter is an A in one of their abilities"

Well yeah DJ Sona is indeed a skin, but I believe it's the ultimate due to the fact that various types of files were found that hint towards different music types (similar to Udyr's different stances). Like when the skin evolves the music changes.

And really it doesn't matter if they are legacy or not. It was a comparison showing that it can happen regardless of the amount they already have. Plus, those two haven't been confirmed for legacy, even though they probably are.

Yeah i just didn't know if it went by popularity or if Riot had another way to select champions for it. A zed skin would be cool since he is extremely popular. Kha'zix, one could argue, is dying as a viable jungle so we'll see.
