Ao Shin, remember him?

For those of you who may not remember, Ao Shin was to be one of the new champions to be released. This was over a year ago now. Today I remembered him and I was wondering if Riot had any progress on the champion. I have been looking around and the closest thing I've seen is on Reddit talking about how this champion is delayed. However the most recent talk about Ao Shin is almost a year old and the sneak peak of Ao Shin is almost 2 years old. Just wondering what you guys did with him and can we get an update?

Sometimes champion concepts get put on ice only to be revisited in the future. Pretty much the same happened to Azir whose first concept was leaked during the time of jayces release(which was in 2012),or Ekko whose concept was also rather old already(I think they talked about this in 2012 already as well).

They'll probably start working on him again eventually,but I doubt that they tell us when they do it.

Last update was April 2015. They basically said, don't expect him this year or anytime soon. He will be released when they feel they have the concept and mechanics right.

Yeah. I just wish we had some info on him. He seems like a cool champ. I was kinda hoping I would get a response from Riot but I knew it'd be a long shot.

Unlike champions like Omen, they want to get him out just like Azir (AKA : Sand mage when it was a concept), but it will take time.

Azir got Iceboxed TWICE before ZenonTheStoic worked on him for his current kit... so he basically got 2 completely differents kits and personallity concept before becoming the emperor with his 3rd current kit. He still kept the same basic character model of the leak.

Let's be patient, they know what they have done, they MUST release him and since we didn't hear of him for quite a while it might mean we may see him in 2016 or he's getting worked on.

Remember Elise, there's ben a long sudden silence about the old spider-queen concept then they teased her as early as July (As a upcoming polymorph champ without anymore detail) then september of her year of release.

Ahri too got a early reveal ahead of time but it worked out back then since she didn't get shelved.

Just be patient, it will happen, he's not canceled unlike omen (An ADC that was meant to get out before Riven and canceled last minute)

any info they have on him will be outdated by the next time they work on him. All he is right now is a concept.
