Kindred's Dance of Arrows (Increased Leap)

Hello,

I used to main Kindred, and still play with them once in a while, however Kindred is champion known for its fragility. Having some thoughts on it, and thinking on how they could be improved in a way the balance would be kept, I thought about keeping the damage just the way it is, but simply increasing the distance you can leap when using your Q (Dance of Arrows).

It would provide not more than a simple mobility increase and disengaging capacity. I'd say 0.5 more than what it is would do the job, as they would be able to jump over thicker barriers and even run with more efficiency when getting caught by one or two enemy champions.

Again, this are just thoughts for the purpose of improving a very squishy champion without overpowering it.

Not only that, Kindred is fairly new, and while they have only a bit of damage, the last patch was 6.14 (I believe) which was pretty much more a nerf than adjustment.

Even Nidalee is getting that attention from the weakness in the new jungle, but Kindred kind of feels like Urgot completely ignored as a champion

It would be nice if Kindred got some kind of buff and maybe even a mini rework

Kindred is pretty weak even if you have 7 stacks at level 10 which is diamond level (see redkind) you have the same damage as a normal so-so adc who isn't that strong either. The worst is that kindred has no presence even from a ganking. No CC, no decent damage early game, and only decent mobility from W-Q It gets bad when the mid laner thinks "psh trash" and kills kindred

Supposedly Kindred's difficulty is 4 because no skillshots but the floor to play well against other junglers (leesin, elise, rengar) is literally azir's ceiling.

I really want kindred buffs, but the reason Nid was buffed is because her average winrate was 40%

Kindred have a 70% slow with 1 ability rank. I mean, your no rammus but that's still pretty good.

any kindred buff would be good i mean seriously they are way too fair to play against its so easy to mess them up and make them easy yet they got over nerfed

Depends on the kindred. Good kindreds lose first 3 jungle marks to enemy jgl and focus on enemy champion marks.

I think the first 3 marks are the easiest to get though, apart from the Dragons's ones that you can easily get if your team is winning.

The thing is this. If the enemy have Lee or Heca or basically any jungler with higher dmg than you early game, you can't contest the marks. Maybe the scuttle crab but you have to go smiteless at your first camp to make sure you secure it. If the mark is on an enemy camp, then it's super risky cos the midlaner will be paying attention too. The easiest are scuttles and dragons, true. Also, if you have up to 5 stacks, then Rift is pretty easy too.

Kindred is my second most played but probably favorite champ thematically :) They've definitely been feeling a little underwhelming lately. I think the main issue is how dominant other junglers are now (looking at you LeeSin even though he obviously isn't looking back) they just don't stack up stats wise. The Q increase could be nice but they definitely might be a little too strong with the extra mobility. Honestly they do just fine now with the right team comp - good peel and cc for engages. If you're having an issue with their squishiness I've seen item 3022 and item 3053 as pretty common items on her nowadays.

Yeah it's those winrates that are making me hesitate. The question is, are they just a difficult champ to master or are they underpowered?

Not difficult but takes practice to know what they are capable of (e.g know you can kill full hp enemy ADC even though you are 50% HP).

I can say that I have mastered Kindred. I know every movement and their combos, how to apply successfully and get a kill from level 3 gank, to how to save 3 dying people from your team with your ult and get a PentaKill afterwards.

BUT...

It's impossible to play them, you have three to six GOOD plays in a entire game if you are lucky and your team is good, otherwise you are a little lamb roaming around with your beautiful wolf and a nice score rate of 3/7/4 or so..

That's why I shifted to other champions to finally see results on my efforts.

Thanks for the input. I thought it might be something like that. Even if they aren't great, they're so pretty and cool I'm tempted to buy them anyway. But I'll probably steer clear.
