The Bloodthrister (Old): B.F. Sword + Long Sword + Vampiric Scepter +80 Damage UNIQUE: +20% life steal UNIQUE: Your life steal overheals you, converting the excess healing into a shield that absorbs up to 50 - 350 (based on level) damage and decays when out-of-combat for 25 seconds.

My Idea The Bloodthrister: B.F. Sword + Pickaxe + Vampiric Scepter +80 Damage UNIQUE: +20% life steal UNIQUE: Your life steal overheals you, converting the excess healing into a shield that absorbs up to 50 - 350 (based on level) damage and decays when out-of-combat for 25 seconds. (This passive continues for 20 minutes of having the item. Something like ROA.) UNIQUE - Bloodrage: After 20 minutes, Bloodthrister thrives for the blood of its enemies. (Something like rengar's passive, Bloodthrister requires you to kill five unique champions to sate Bloodrage.) After this is completed, The Bloodthrister will turn into The Sated Bloodthrister. The Sated Bloodthrister: The Bloodthrister Unique Passive/Quest UNIQUE - Sated (Unlike the previous jungle item, that was better than the current Bloodrazer): <- notice the sad face.. Anyways. There is an aura that is different based on what champion you are playing. There is a far and close aura. If you are attacking players that are in the farthest aura the player gains +20% Life Steal and a bonus 10 Damage. Also after three consecutive autos, the third auto procs a DOT that does damage based on your damage. (25% of bonus damage, not including the 10 from the farthest aura). The closest aura is an insane buff but is risky for ranged champions for you need to be pretty close to them. (Almost melee range). You gain +35% life steal and +50 bonus damage. After 2 seconds of being in combat with that champion, the item will sap hp from the target and created a shield. Shield will decay after 2 seconds of hitting a different champion besides the one it is locked onto. (This passive also works like how Warwick's w passive works. For Warwick, autoing enemies with 50% and 25% grants him attack speed, this passive works the same way. If that makes any sense.)

Melee champions will get the first aura, the farthest one.

Just realized that the poll makes no sense. So yes is saying that it is too strong for late game and no is saying that it is appropriate.

Unfortunately you asked two questions in one, so it's hard to be clear which one I'm saying yes to if I vote. So I'll just leave my feedback here.

Numbers-wise it may be too strong, but it seems like a really cool direction for an item, with an in game quest that offers an upgrade of relevant power. I like it! +1

This definitely seems too strong. You've made the build path more powerful (which is helpful), kept the item power identical, and put on a HUGELY powerful activation that has a very tricky trigger effect.

All in all, what this really does is make the item into a huge snowballing item, which is rather concerning. I LIKE the direction of the evolving item, but this just has too much power (and too uncommon an activation clause) to really work well.

i like the evolving item but having to wait 20 minutes after you buy it for the quest to proc means that in order for it to be used in most games it would have to be rushed first and unless you get fed you wont buy such an exspensive item until just before the 12minute mark then by the time the quest activates its around 30minutes and then you have to hunt down every enemy on the map which means that unless theres a team fight that goes well for your team at 30-35 minutes and you happen to get them all it will take a while to get your marks and if you do win the team fight at 30-35 minutes the death timers should be long enough for you to clear out most of there base if not win and it just becomes a super strong passive used to finish off a already dying team. the only other alternative is if you somehow thought you would need it early game because you think your team will lose late game and by chance you might be able to get the marks in order to help your team out of a dire situation. Also as of now most people buy bloodthirster at around the 25-30minute mark because its just not that strong as a first item build unless you need some mass sustain because for just 300g less you can buy an infinity edge
