I love Jinx. I main Jinx. Jinx is easily my favorite champ. What bothers me about this skin is that it's her first since release, and it's a holiday skin. As someone else mentioned, there are numerous good skin ideas for Jinx floating around, that actually capitalize on her character (instead of pandering to a holiday crowd for an agonizingly obvious cash grab), and Riot ignored all of these. Think Spellthief Lux, Reverse Annie, Pool Party Ziggs, Aether Wing Kayle, Blackthorn Morgana.... skins that provide a new an interesting take on a character while still not deviating from the identity that Riot claims is so central to their design. What the hell does Chinese New Year have to do with Jinx? The only connection they could think of was that she blows stuff up? Really?
I don't claim to speak for all Jinx players, or even people dissatisfied with this skin. Ultimately, people have different tastes and it's up to each of us to decide what we like and don't like. I just can't stomach the idea that her first skin, after nearly a year and a half, is a themed holiday (read: it's going into the vault soon too, so: temporary) skin, that only loosely makes sense for her as a character. Sigh, sometimes I just don't understand Riot's thinking. Is getting money really more important than creating interesting, sensical lore?
Anyway, there's my two cents. Let the arguing/flaming/'I disagree because...' begin.
hasn't gotten a skin since release so people where expecting a really good skin ( which I think this is I loveeee it) but it kills me as a Jinx main to see this skin get so much hate.
