Just Another PROJECT: _Hypothesis_

1st of all let's address all this Yone business. I don't think so. At least I hope that's not right. I don't think Yone surviving his fight with Yasuo in any way is a good idea as a thing to have happen in league's lore. And I don't like the idea of resurrecting his corpse either because even if this technology could be proved to have such abilities, there is nothing about him that would merit doing that, I just can't see a reason, he's not strong or important enough(people keep saying that undergoing enhancements similar to PROJECT: Yasuo's would make him pretty strong, but as I said, there is nothing that calls for that to be done in the first place). The only thing that this idea really has going for it in my opinion is the head from the mobile site.

So here's my proposal: The one project skin on the top-most node with no info about it, is either Jayce, Olaf, Singed or a new champion, which could tie back to the whole Yone thing, but I still personally feel like it should be something else.

Now onto my reasoning: Someone proposed the these "PROJECTS" are the work of Viktor. I disagree simply because there is way too much flesh left over in PROJECT: Yasuo. Pretty much the entirety of Viktor's body is mechanical except perhaps the brain and any parts integral to his consciousness, this is also true of all the Battlecast series, which ARE Viktor's work. This is because Viktor seeks to replace fleshy lifeforms entirely, not enhance them per se(he calls this improvement because he sees emotions and the like as weaknesses).

Rather I think this PROJECT was developed by Jayce, to combat Viktor as he made his first move with his Battlecast line. If you looks at Yasuo's page on the PROJECT sight, you can read a bit about how his abilites are being empowered by equipment he wears and utilizes rather than having as an actual part of his body(leather gloves, rather than say mechanical arm implants). This is more Jayce's style, seeing how he made the Mercury Hammer to match Viktor rather than aumenting himself the same way.

So here's what I think the backstory might be. Basically, Viktor attacked some powerful and/or influential person or place as the first part of his push towards full mechanization of life in Runeterra. The Battlecasts were insanely destructive compared to their original selves(which were perfectly capable of competing with other champions AKA some of the world's finest warriors) and thus easily overpowered all opposition. The events of Jayce and Viktor's lores left Jayce with a deep subconscious hatred towards Viktor even after the conflicts resolution simply because seeing the dedication that Jayce put into the Merc Hammer's development, it's safe to say he's the type to hold grudges. Thus he took it upon himself antagonize him once more. Being a smart guy, and recognizing that Viktor and his new toys were too strong, Jayce began designing ways to match their fire power. However he knew he would still be outnumbered and thus recruited help. As to why someone like say Zed would agree to help save the world, perhaps Viktor targeted all Champions in order to get the strongest potential threats to his plans out of the way first. Maybe these 6 or 7 people that are part of the project are the last remaining champs Viktor is hunting down and they have all understood by now that Jayce's project is their only chance to even survive. That's my rationale for why I think Jayce is responsible for the whole PROJECT thing even existing.

Now as to who I think is the 6th skin:

Possibility 1: It is Jayce.

Jayce figured that since Viktor has complete control over the actions of all Battlecasts, their coordination will always outclass that of his desperately thrown together team, thus to improve it, he creates a network that all their brains can connect to to act as a hive mind that let's them communicate as fast as they can think(which even in real life is incredibly faster than one can speak). To pull this off, some tinkering with everyone's brain was required causing the loss of emotion hinted at in PROJECT: Yasuo's initial reveal thingy. As the leader, Jayce is hooking himself up to this network in a special way that will give him more control over it than the others will have. This process is taking longer than it took for the rest and causing temporary memory loss to him. His brain has been wiped clean, and is now being filled with information about the other projects, everything, from their abilities and equipment, to what he has seen of their personalities and his mind being totally empty ensures that absolutely all of this gets in allowing him to make the most educated decisions possible during combat. Afterwards, Information about his own enhancements will be downloaded, finally revealing him to us in the PROJECT page as he remembers himself as 6th one(so yes, this incomplete memory is Jayce's is what I am saying). Once all this this "critical importance" stuff is out of the way, as much of his other memories as there is still space for in his head will be returned.

Possibility 2: It is the next champion.

This is where the whole Yone thing could go. Wrekz did say that we would be surprised as to who it would be. And also that he would like it to be High Tech, so... That or it might be an entirely new character who gives Jayce the idea, or completely takes Jayce's place in the possible story I came up with above. In other words it is this newcomer, rather than Jayce who sets out to stop Viktor. Could even be future Ekko...

Possibility 3: It is Olaf or Singed

This is the least likely IMO. Basically, Jayce or whoever turns out to be the mind behind the project, does the the whole hivemind network thing and the memories in the site are theirs as I said, but said individual won't actually join the team in combat, but rather he/she will strategize and command from afar. Which would leave the final spot open for an existing champion. I picked these two as likely candidates based on the following:

The Following

The champions which most people agree are represented in the site already all kind of form dualities with the one opposite to them.

Zed/Leona

Zed in the bottom left, as the ninja that also happens to be possessed by evil forces(the shadow stuff) represents a sneaky, deceitful approach to battle. The top right one, Leona, who is kinda the people's champion back home stands for a steadfast, straight forward style that will result in glory in the end.

Lucian/Fiora

The Bottom right one, Lucian relies on laying a relentless beating on the enemy starting at the earliest possible moment and continuing until they are defeated(that's atleast the vibe I get from the barrage that his ult is, as well as the name of his E "relentless pursuit"). He will also do this from a distance when possible to make a counter attack difficult. Why give the enemy a fighting chance when the goal is to annihilate them, right? Fiora, on the top left, as the grand duelist seeks to start fights on equal grounds always, with both parties fully prepared. This is because she believes that victory should come thanks only to one's skill superiority over the opponent.

Yasuo/????

This would leave the top-most spot, to someone that embodies the opposite of some principle or fighting style, which Yasuo represents. What I came up with for this was that he uses his deadly sword and murderous techniques mostly for defensive purposes in his lore. He kills to avoid being killed, and his most meaningful childhood experience was being taught patience and compassion. I find Singed to fit as an opposite of this as he uses his scientific brilliance and knowledge of chemistry to produce deadly poison for offensive use in warfare. He took the principles behind medicine, and use them to poison people. He kills through the use of scientific knowledge intended to save lives. Thus they are opposites in that one uses violence peacefully, and the other weaponizes something meant for good.

Alternatively, Yasuo, as a samurai, that kills only when and who is necessary, does so with finesse, swiftly and even respectfully. On the other hand we have the barbaric Olaf that just swings hard till you bleed out and even tosses axes around on a whim, showing that he cares not what collateral damage he causes.

Other characters fit one of those 2 criteria, but Singed and Olaf are the only two I came up with that were human, which I noticed is a common trait all other likely candidates for the other 4 spots share.

Actually, jayce already has the "counterpart" of battlecast, the fullmetal (rammus, pantheon and jayce, until now)

It's also possible that it's someone who HAS no memories; Ori and Zil could both feasibly bug out 'memory traces'. And both of those WOULD be awesome-looking. And if it's PROJECT: Poppy, I will pay Rito a million billion dollars to own it.

Yone is dead. Unknown memory is not a new champ (stated by a Rioter).
