MMORPG?

So, for a while now Riot has been showing us how capable they are at venturing outside the nature and game style of the LoL moba. Examples being, Teamfight Tactics and Legends or Runeterra. I'm also sure there will be more to come. But this realization prompted me to think "Will they be releasing/developing an actual MMORPG"?

I do feel like they are more than capable of doing so and they surely seem to be ramping up to a large scale unveiling with all these smaller counterpart games coming into play.

Dream with me here though folks. 1.) Vast open world style RPG with NPC's showing the connections and story behind all the different champions. 2.) Being able to play through the history of League and finally finding out all the hidden details that has alluded anyone who hasn't read the stories. 3.) Customized characters. From Vastayan to Freljordian. From Ionia to Bildgewater. You would have the ability to custom make a Hero based off most races and classes (Lanes). 4.) Items building. Similar to League in game building with some added advantages. There are characters in each town or city that would be able to sell you/upgrade your weapons for you. All Heroic weapons coming from the main design of League (Bloodthirster ect). Like other MMO's you would be able to gather resources from fighting minions and smaller characters as well as Plants or Mineral nodes in game. Then you could use those materials to craft lower teir items. Then, those lower teir items would reduce the cost to create or buy the final weapon from the vendors. Additionally, the items would have created level stats. So, a Guinsoo's made at level 5 would have a vastly reduced benefit than one made at level 30. And so on. 5.) Finally, it would allow players to finally be able to sway a bit away from the competitive style gaming League has with a more open and cooperative game. Raids and Dungeons would be the only place that competitiveness would play a factor aside from things like Tournaments, War and Arenas.

Side thought: Maybe adding in a competitive tournament after story line end game for max characters. With a chance of adding said character in some capacity to other Riot games. AKA, "Blood Bringer has won the tourny!" A new character, Little Legend, Item, skin ect would reflect his win in League or TFT or LOR. Ect.

Just thoughts and ideas.

I also wish something like this but they said themselves that they would never do it. And I like the WoW style of world building that you're thinking here, but my personal opinion would be kinda meh cause I really would want to explore all of Runeterra, from Ionia to Demacia, Icathia to Freljord and everywhere in between, but it'd be impossible due to the strict borders and shit that most countries have, like Ixtal, Noxus or Ionia. And if they did make a game like that, they'd have to stop adding new stuff to LoL, unless they wanted to keep updating both games, because it'd be very impactful to the whole story of Runeterra cause what'd the main objective be? Defend your country? Find Jax and prove yourself as a worthy champion to venture into the void and stop it once and for all? Hunt down the ancient emperor Azir and try to become an Ascended? Find clues about some weird gems that contain devastating magic and come across Ryze? Would he be friendly? Enemy? Neutral? There are many reasons as to why they never would, but at least we can dream [zombie-nunu-tears]
