[SUGGESTION] I really don't like the Trinity Force in the current state

I mean, I don't think item 3078 is too strong or too weak. I just think it's boring. It pretty much gives ANY champion with a spammable ability the possibilty to alternate AAs to the mentioned ability and get an insane power spike for damage that falls off later the game goes and pretty much doesn't give any useful combination (apart from the unused Sterak, as said below). Where is the "trinity" in that? Same to say for the basic item item 3057.

I know that reworks are long and may need a balance on many champions, but I really think Riot team should think in the future of some changes. A possibility (but not the only one) would be to make all item 3057 - items scale with level, for instance starting at 40% effectiveness at level 1 and ending up at 125% effectiveness at level 18 (+5% per level). That would mean:

  • item 3057 proc gives from +40% to +125% base damage on-hit, same as item 3100 (adding the AP part) and item 3025 (adding the AoE);
  • item 3078 proc gives from +80% to +250% base damage on-hit.

This way, also, the natural combo with item 3053 will be seen more, as I rarely see this second item paired with the first in the last few months' games.

If you feel the same way about the current state of the item, feel free to post your suggestion about possible changes to make the item less OTP.

I agree with the conceptual side of this, (and the spamming part), but I don't agree on the numbers. The numbers are actually fine now in my personal opinion, it's just the nuance of spammability and the power that gives some champs. Mainly Nasus, that's kinda dirty, and it never really feels good. But it may be that in that regard, the balance changes should be made on the champions' ends, not to Trinity Force. Though I definitely agree that it doesn't feel like it's 'Trinity' anything anymore.

That would be a Hell of a Nerf to Nasus who is already weak enough.

Also I think it would be weird to be a damage that scales with a scale of level since the base damage already incresses with level.

this would effect the builds of many champs not just nasus it would ruin the power of Xin , VI , and other fighters who don't use fast autos but instead hard hiting combo's. such a simple idea would have drastic Con's
