Why don't we have a power ranger themed Shen skin?

Wouldn't it be a perfect match for Shen to have a power ranger skin? He is after all a rival to Zed, who is already based off of the bad guy from Power rangers.

Cool idea. Though I could see Riot naming them 'Riot Ranger' skins.

I dont think zords should be part of this. Other than that I agree. (except I would set shen or jayce blue, since blue was supposed to be clever )

No because Haim Saban will get all pissy and try to sue rito. Just look at the guy who made a FAN MADE power rangers movie entirely not for profit (even tho YT ads usually dont matter) and still got threatened with lawsuits.

They wouldn't be able to sue because it parody. People on these forums claim ideas can't be made due to copyright without understand how copyright works.

The reason the youtube video was taken down was because it used character names and themes that are trademarked by Haim Saban. It was clearly a serious production (ie no humour involved), and was meant to get people excited and calling for a bigger production that WOULD have made money to a license they didn't have the rights to.

The reason why Riot wouldn't get sued is because they:

Wouldn't call it 'Power Rangers Shen' or use phrases that Saban owned the rights to. (They could call it 'Mighty Ranger Shen' and would be fine)
The skin, while similar to the costume, is not a direct recreation of the costume, and therefore becomes it's own outfit.
It would fall under parody anyway, as Shen in no way acts like the Green Ranger or does things similar to him. Sure he uses a sword, but the similarities stop there.

For the same reason that Star Guardian Lux didn't cause Riot to be sued, a Power Rangers themed Shen skin won't cause them to be sued.
