I heard Vel'Koz is getting an update in the mage patch

What if, you could activate Vel'Koz Q a third time and you could get 2 more spheres going in opposite directions from each of the previous spheres? Shit would be awesome, this would truly be geometry

I like how he should feel 'smart' with all of that geometry, and this just adds to it. :> I wonder if his gameplay could feel even more 'smart' without changing his simplicity or skill pattern much.

Just keep in mind, that they are still discussing which of the immobile mages are getting an update, so nothing is confirmed just yet. :P

As for making his kit feel smarter... I just had a thought. What if his W, instead of being a spam waveclear tool, summoned a crystallized spike of... void essence (or something similar). They last indefinitely or for 5 auto attacks, and if Vel'Koz hits them with his spells they pulse, dealing aoe damage.

This way leading them into ambushes would feel even MORE satisfying, as his ult could proc their pulse (perhaps once a second? Or once per tick?) And in lane he could set them up and bait people into getting into range to attack them while eating a blast of his geometry.

Yes? No?

Edit: Or it could replace his E and stun people for the first pulse, not being able to stun them again for several seconds.
