Abilities
Passive: Ranger's Versatility Ambrose's weapon, "Ranger", has a multitude of forms that can change to fit his current situation. Using an ability causes Ambrose to change the weapon to the form best fitting the skill in question. This also changes how Ambrose will execute his basic attacks. Pike-man's Thrust: Ambrose's Halberd attacks become a long, half-circle, giving a "splash" effect, affecting units around the main target. (Targets hit by the splash only take 33% damage.) Swordsman's Slash: Ambrose's Sword attacks only strike one unit, but deal 10% extra damage. Cavalry’s Charge: Ambrose's Lance attacks become a long, thin, hit-box that strikes units behind in addition to the main target. (Units behind the main target only take 50% damage.) Might of the Crusader: Ambrose's Claymore attacks strike twice, with the second attack only dealing 25% damage, but applying all on-hit effects.
Q: Pike-man’s Thrust Active: Ambrose changes "Ranger" into a Halberd and performs a cone-shaped stab in a "1-2-3" fashion in the target direction. Units struck are slowed. Physical Damage: 50/70/90/110/130 (+40% AD) Slow: 35% for 3 seconds, weakens over the duration
W: Swordsman's Slash Active: Ambrose changes "Ranger" into a sword and performs a somersault strike, striking units in a radius in front and behind him. Physical Damage: 60/80/100/120/140 (+50% AD)
E: Cavalry’s Charge Active: Ambrose changes "Ranger" into a Lance, and performs a long, straight stab in the direction of the cursor, damaging units struck. Physical Damage: 70/90/110/130/150 (+65% AD)
R: Might of the Crusader Active: Ambrose starts a running charge, imbuing "Ranger" with powerful energy as he does. After 7 seconds, (Or a second pressing of R) Ambrose lets loose a powerful, double-handed swing. The swing is a wide, half-circle shaped blade of light that hits all units in its radius and deals massive damage. The attack deals 5% more damage for each second the player waits before using the swing. Physical Damage: 150/275/400 (+45% AD)
Lore
Ambrose is a member of the organization known as the "Crusaders", a group of mercenary knights located all throughout Valoran. They offer their services to all the nations of Runeterra, for a price. His mastery of all forms of combat they teach makes him the undisputed exemplar of their order. His weapon "Ranger", is a rare artifact-weapon with various forms that can change to fit Ambrose's current situation, allowing him the great versatility that makes him capable of taking any challenge. He gained the right to wield it upon being named the champion of the Crusader order, and no other member has ever been able to contest him for it since.
Quotes
Selection They demand the presence of the Crusader!
Movement Versatility can get you through anything. Ranger's not a singular weapon. A Crusader's services aren't cheap. Jack-of-all-trades, yes, but I've mastered them too. I'm ready for anything. We offer our services to all. Ranger surprises me sometimes still. Time to change things up. You can't stop a Crusader. To the next job. A Crusader's Cause is cash.
Attacking _How will I attack next? Sword, Lance, Halberd or Claymore? Payment's due. It's nothing personal. What'll I go with next? Crusaders don't retreat. I'm not one to back down from a challenge. Versatile and Deadly. Variations on a dead man, coming up! Hope the payment's worth the trouble... They won't know what hit them. Keep them guessing. _ Using Pikeman's Thrust Yah! Once, Twice, Thrice! (Grunts)
Using Swordman's Slash Slash! Ho! Here goes!
Using Calvary's Charge Forward! Charge! Strike!
Using Might of the Crusader Ready.... (Initial Active) Now! (Second Active or reached end of path)
Joke Ambrose holds "Ranger" forward, and it takes the form of a box, which then opens and lets out a firework that explodes, raining down confetti on Ambrose.
Taunt Ambrose holds "Ranger" out in front of him, and strikes various poses with its varied forms while saying one of the following at random: I don't think you're worth my time. Think you can keep up with my skills? The Cavalry’s arrived, you can leave now. It is not wise to cross a Crusader.
Taunting near an enemy Garen
Hmm, a little too gung-ho for the Crusader ranks.
Taunting near an enemy Jarvan IV
_Justice can be bought, Prince. If you're willing.
_
Taunting near an enemy Gangplank
You turned down the Crusader services, and look what it got you.
Taunting near an enemy Miss Fortune
I offer my services still, "Queen of Bilgewater".
Taunting near an enemy Fiora
Care for a duel with a Crusader?
Taunting near an enemy Jhin
I believe I've witnessed some of your "performances" during my travels.
Taunting near an enemy Swain
Perhaps the Crusaders could help bolster Noxus' strength, if you've got the cash.
Taunting near an enemy Sivir
You may call me a mercenary, but I prefer the term "Soldier of Fortune".
Watch and learn how to stop backstabbers, girlie.
Taunting near an enemy Azir
The Crusaders could aid in Shurima's return, Sand-Emperor.
Taunting near an enemy Katarina
Still looking for your dear father?
Say the word, and I can aid in your causes, Katarina.
Dance Ambrose sets down his sword and starts doing the Crash Bandicoot victory dance from the Crash Bandicoot game series.
Laugh Ambrose laughs.
Recall Animation Ambrose stretches his arms while "Ranger" twirls around him. He then grabs it and extends his hand to the sky.
Death Ambrose kneels, watches "Ranger" float above him and then explode. He then falls over flat on his face, stomach facing-downward. A Crusader never dies... (Heavy breathing, then silence) Ridiculous... (Various groans of pain)
