Champion Idea: Bonehart, The Undead Outcast * /r/leagueoflegends

I'm not that great at lore, I'll leave it to the comments, mostly, but I'll try to start it off!

Lore:

Legend has it that the feared creature known as Bonehart comes out at night an kills anything in her path. Partake in a Zaun cloning experiment failure, Bonehart accidentally came to life. She was seen as a freak and as an ambomination amongst the other dragons. Like her loning idol, Shyvana, Bonehart was a lonely outcast.

Over the years Bonehart grew more and more enraged. She had had enough. She disappeared from the world into a cave far, far away. There she scavenged for food and found many ancient scrolls and pamphlets. There, in her dark, unholy sanctum, she proceeded to teach herself the dark magics to one day claim her vengeance.

The more restless she grew, the more impatient she grew. As driven as she was, she had to practice long and hard. And so she did. She soon became a master of necromancy. Now, as a master she discovers that she must be patient and wait for the right moment to strike. And so she did. And so she waits.

Friends: Shyvana

Champion Characteristics:

Bonehart is a strong melee caster Mage who specializes in bursting her enemies down before they can damage her. She is a Skeleton dragon and for her basic attack she swipes her enemies with her claws (she can also hit them with her tail).

Health: 584 (+83 per level) Health Regen: 7.1 (+0.7 per level) Mana: 390 (+80 per level) Mana Regen: 4.0 (+1 per level) Armor: 24 (+5 per level) Magic Resist: 30 (+2 Per Level) Attack: 52 (+4 per level) Attack Speed: 0.7 (+2% per level) Attack Range: 125 (Melee, at level 1) Movement Speed: 340

Abilities:

Passive: Wrath of the Patient Cooldown: 180 seconds

Bonehart smells enemies fear and marks an enemy unit or neutral monster at random at a range of 800 (scales with passive) for 6 seconds. When Bonehart attacks the targeted enemy, she deals 12% of their maximum as magic damage.

Bonehart gains a stack range on his basic attack and on all of his abilities per level (+15.2777778 per level -> +275 at level 18)

Q: Undead Harrassers Range: None Cooldown: 10 seconds all levels Cost: 60/70/80/90/100

Bonehart will now set her lowest skeleton Horcruxes in a frenzy for 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5 seconds. The skeleton gains 20%/30%/40%/50%/60% movement speed and attack speed. After the frenzy, the skeletons soul explodes dealing 80/100/125/150/200 (+60% AP) magic damage (Bonehart can re-activate the ability to explode it early). If the skeleton kills a unit when it explodes, that unit will also exploding dealing that same amount. The units that explode can also trigger other units to explode.

W: Summon: Skeleton Horcrux Range: 500 Cooldown: 5 seconds (charges a stack every 15 seconds, holds 3 stacks) Cost: 50/60/70/80/100

Summon a skeleton (anywhere). If you summon it on an enemy unit, it deals 60/90/120/150/190 (+40% AP) magic damage and slows the unit(s) for 20%/30%/40%/50%/60% for 3 seconds.

Once the Skelton is spawned, it will follow closely to Bonehart (much like tibbers, but there may be multiple) and attack whatever is in their range. All of the skeletons are given the same orders (if there are multiple) and can be controlled by using ALT+RMB. It's basic attacks deal 5/10/20/30/40 (+100% AD) physical damage and 2%/2.5%/3%/3.5%/4% (+1% AP) of their missing health as magic damage over 5 seconds.

Skeleton Statistics:

The skeletons have 325/335/345/355/365 movement speed. Skeleton attack speed 1.0 at all levels. They're melee but scale with half of Boneclaws passive (+7.63888889) attack range each level. Skeletons last for 8/9/10/11/12 seconds each before deteriorating. Skeletons can be targeted by all monsters and champions. Skeletons will detonate all traps that aren't champion targeted. Skeletons have 200/350/500/650 (at 1/6/11/16). Skeletons have 50 armor and magic resistance.

E: Soul Exchange Range: 600 Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds Cost: 50 mana at all ranks

Bonehart rushes to one of her skeletons Horcruxes (whichever one the cursor is nearest if there are multiple, Much like Azirs shifting sands) and heals herself for 30/40/50/60/70 (+40% AP). If he reaches the skeleton Horcrux it shatters and stuns all enemy units and champions within 150 range (does scale with passive) for 1.5 seconds. This gap closer can be interrupted by champions. Once interrupted, Bonehart stops rushing to his skeleton Horcrux instead gains a 70/80/90/100/110 (+40% AP) shield for 2 seconds.

Monsters, pets, and minions cannot interrupt this ability.

R: Vengeance Range: 700 Cooldown: 120/90/60 Cost: 150

Bonehart charges at a single target. Able to be disabled, the ability will cancel if she gets stunned, silenced, or suppressed.) whilst charging Bonehart knocks all others aside dealing 100/150/200 (+50% AP)(to the one locked aside) magic damage. Once she reaches her target Bonehart slashes it twice, stunning it for 1.5/2.0/2.5 seconds and dealing 300/400/500 (+80% AP) magic damage. Boneclaw deals +20% true damage to all units whilst her victim is disabled. (This means bonus the true damage is off if cleanse/QSS/Mikaels Crucible but the initial damage will trigger. You would have to cleanse as she's stunning you)

Well guys if you read it all thanks. I would love to know what you think of Bonehart. To me she how stay seems a little OP but then again I look at people like fizz and Leblanc and she's a lot like them. If you honk she needs a nerd please say so, I'm better at the conceptual stuff rather than the ratios and such. I envision her Mid/Jungle btw :)

There was one thing I didn't add. since I'm the lore I had that she was patient, well I was going to make a passive where she would get a mark on a target at random, dealing extra damage or stunning them or something. I might've done it instead of one of the passive or both. Please discuss :)

PS: do you guys know if Riot even cares to look at this stuff? I'd love to see her maybe tweaked a bit (In a good way) and implemented. Thanks guys, please please send feedback :)

EDIT #1: I typed this on my iPhone and the autocorrect fixed her name in the title :/ so the official name is Bonehart, the title is just wrong

EDIT #2: I realized Bonehart was a little strong, especially her ult, so I'm going to make a few changes.

Passive: 40%/50%/60%/70% -> 20%/30%/40%/50%

Notes: I just felt like she would be too unstoppable after regenerating that much health and regaining her cooldowns.

Q: Undead Harrassers

(Bonehart sends forth 4 fast, spread out (skill shot width 200, does not scale with passive) traveling in a serpentine fashion. When the souls come in contact with a non-friendly unit, it deals 80/100/130/160/200 (+60% AP) magic damage each time a soul passes though (50% less damage each time a soul hits the same unit.

If a unit is killed by Undead Harrassers, 20 mana is restored and the unit exploded at a range of 125 dealing 30/40/50/60/70 (+50% AP) magic damage. If this explosion kills a unit, the unit(s) it killed will explode as well.) -> REMOVED

(New) Q: Undead Harrassers Range: None Cooldown: 10 seconds all levels Cost: 60/70/80/90/100

Bonehart will now set her lowest skeleton Horcruxes in a frenzy for 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5 seconds. The skeleton gains 20%/After its frenzy is over, the skeletons soul explodes dealing 80/100/125/150/200 (+60% AP). If the skeleton kills a unit when it explodes, that unit will also exploding dealing that same amount. The units that explode can also trigger other units to explode.

Notes: I saw that with her range increase passive, Bonehart needed to be more of an up-front menace that scales, much like Fizz. So now without the skillshot, there's more need for skill at kiting and melee combat.

W: Summon: Skeleton Horcrux

Slow percentage on spawn: 30%/40%/50%/60%/70% -> 20%/30%/40%/50%/60%

Slow duration: 2->3 seconds

Note: Bonehart has a lot of CC for a Mage so tuning it down early game is necessary.

E: Soul Exchange

Heal: 50 (+20% AP) -> 30/40/50/60/70 (+40% AP)

The gap closer is no longer instant: Bonehart instantly exchanges positions -> Bonehart rushes to one of his skeleton Horcruxes. This can be interrupted by champions and he will then instead gain a 70/80/90/100/110 (+40% AP) shield for 2 seconds.

If he does reach his mark he stuns all enemy units and champion within 200 range (scales with passive) for 1.5 seconds.

Notes: I wanted to make it harder to land Soul Exchange but be more rewarding if you do. The champion interruption always for more counter play as well.

R: Vengeance

Bonehart charges at a single target unable to be disabled -> Bonehart can be stunned, silenced, or suppressed, all of which will cancel her ability. This ability can also be spell shielded and cleansed (cleansed including Mikaels crucible and gangplanks ability) which will cancel the CC but still do the damage. (Remember if the CC is canceled the true damage is off)

Notes: this makes Bonehart more of an up-close Melee assassin, less viable in team fights since she is so vulnerable while charging. Since she is vulnerable while charging, her ult is harder to land. And, thus, it is more rewarding when one does land this ability.

EDIT #3:

Passive: Wrath of the Patient

Upon taking lethal damage (After GA), Bonehart saves her soul and takes life once again, regenerating 20% (30%/40%/50%)(at levels 1/6/11/16) after 3 seconds. If Bonehart is stunned when her passive procs, it is reduced by half. --> REMOVED

(New) Bonehart smells enemies fear and marks an enemy unit or neutral monster at random at a range of 800 (scales with passive) for 6 seconds. When Bonehart attacks the targeted enemy, she deals 12% of their maximum as magic damage.

The range passive is still around.

Notes: As a jungler/mid lane assassin, marking a champion helps her burst down the champion quicker, working better with her kit. Plus, as an assassin, she's not supposed to take heavy damage before she uses her Zhonyas Hourglass or getaways. Plus the role of the assassin is to go in from a flank position or clean up, which the revive passive doesn't really work.

Q: Undead Harrassers

Now Bonehart can deactivate the skeletons to explode early, before the frenzy is over

Notes: it was almost unfair to have the frenzy to scale longer, it takes away from the bursty magic damage. This way Undead Harrassers is more versatile.

E: Soul Exchange

Stun Range (Before passive scale) 200->150

Notes: Pre-level 6 this would be too powerful, it will now be more powerful late game, due to her range scaling passive.

Great champion concept dude. Always love assassins, especially all-in ones.

It will need lots of tweaking though but good :)

Cool concept, but it gives a pretty strong Azir vibe. I like that it's still unique in its own way, but some things seem kind of strange. For example, her passive is meant to heal her once she dies, but 1) Aatrox already makes use of that mechanic in a much more interactive way and 2) Isn't she supposed to "burst her enemies down before they can damage her"? I'd say there are much more interesting mechanics you could employ in this space, and you should think about alternative passives. BTW, doesn't she seem like a really strong jungler? I mean, taking W at level 1 and then maxing Q is a pretty easy way to clear the jungle without taking damage. Her W Q combo (getting the skeleton into range quickly) followed by a Soul Exchange is a decent gank at early levels, and her ultimate just makes her even stonger post-6. Maybe the new passive could orient itself around this role? It even fits her lore of being a recluse waiting for the right moment to strike, honing her craft in solitude. One quick fix you should implement is that her Frenzied skeletons should explode whether or not they reach the end of the duration. Otherwise it's almost like a nerf when the duration increases, as the enemy has more time to kill it before it explodes. This would also be applicable to death by Soul Exchange, for incentivizing the right plays. Last question: Is Bonehart a girl or a guy? The text sends mixed messages... I like how carefully you've been keeping a log of her tweaks and see you're really dedicated to this champion. Please continue being awesome and working on this concept :) Reviewer, away!summoner 4
