Ranked ARAM (lets talk about it again)

Im sure Im not the first one to suggest this... I just want to know if there is some logical reasoning behind not adding ranked ARAM to the playable options.

We have ranked 3v3 on twisted treelines... it rarely gets the same esports coverage or major recognition as the 5v5 map, so I cant imagine that would be the justification behind not making ranked ARAM.

In fact... the way I see it... ranked ARAM would add a whole new perspective to the competitive scene. We all know there are countless high ELO players who are basically one trick ponies. They always role the same champ... same position... and if they dont get their role, they dodge (i myself fell victim to this when I climbed the ranks a couple seasons back). Sure its a testament to the mastery of a champion... but imagine the level of skill required to master ALL champions in ANY given team comp? ARAM ranked would insist that players have a minimum number of champions (maybe even all of them). This would ensure fair champion pools, and inadvertently reserve the availability of this game type to only those who have invested a great deal into this game already. The matchmaking alone because of this factor would help prevent smurfs or casual players from plaguing the system. Speaking as a community member and high ranking CSGO player, I can honestly say that this community could benefit from taking notes from how Valve responds to community ideas. ARAM itself, was the result of RIOT showing value in its community desires... Lets take it one step further!

Again, on a skill level, it would give valuable feedback on the level of skill an individual might have in terms of team fights utilizing any champion, in any given team comp. The best of the best players might even attest that ANY current champion can be successful in the right hands... now lets actually see it!

Ive been playing this game since the beta, and the thing I enjoy the most is the high level of team coordination in mass fights. I value quick games, with intense precision. ARAM speaks to me on a personal level. We have one of the largest communities in all of gaming. In the past, my forum posts have received honest and respectable responses from the RIOT team, and I can only hope that this idea is given very serious consideration... (if it hasnt already...which im sure it has...again... lol)

Selfishly, I will say no thank you, because I like aram as a relaxing queue to have fun in and not care about, but I would totally play ranked aram.

I could see a heavy amount of frustration with it though if you get comps like all melee vs all poke.

I like the idea but I dont think Solo ARAM can be a think since 80% of ARAM team mates are bots.

But 5v5, yes!! I this would be so much fun! I love ARAM since it doesnt give any player an advantage. Specially if 5 bans per team were a thing. It would make it so much fun!

If you can take Dynamic Queue seriously and accept it as rank, then ARAM should equally be considered seriously. I mean at this point it kinda shows they have no real intentions of balancing.

All Random All Mid, if its like this then I would entertain the idea. Random pick goes against what ranked play needs, consistency.

A significant portion of the League playerbase is firmly convinced that ARAM is not and cannot be competitive. Generally, the claim is either that randomness has too much impact or that ARAM is so straight-forwardly simple as to require almost no skill. It's also incredibly difficult to consider ranked ARAM when Riot hasn't even implemented Champ Mastery for ARAM.

I don't agree with any of those reasons (See: competitive card games, the existence of MMR, and Mastery for RGM modes, respectively), but they're still major barriers to discussing the possibility of ranked ARAM.

Hexakill should be added to the Ranked line-up. 2 top 1 mid 2 bot 1 jg...or full on 2v2v2. Skill? Yup. Gotta plan accordingly...and manage to coordinate strikes, AND work very well with your team.

ARAM's boring already as it is...and all you need is Snowball and Flash. Tag, your it, rush in, poke, flash out. it wouldn't be fun at all and literally is biased on what champion you roll upon start. There would be a TON of dodges that almost 5% of the ELO's would be on low priority que or worse...sitting on 30 minute penalty timers.

Gotta remember, people prefer the current META of champs since they op'd af.

While the idea sounds decent...it won't happen. I'd rather see Hexakill make its return to the spotlight with Ranked. (WITHOUT using dynamic que ofc)

I don't think enough people take ARAM seriously enough for Riot to want to make a ranked mode out of it. I think more people would be opposed to ranked ARAM than support it. It's too random- if you random a team comp that has a huge disadvantage against another one then it's not fun to play. Maybe APAM would work. There will be people who will reroll twice and still get a shitty champ- then they'll just AFK or dodge. There's just not enough control in the champ select for it to be viable.

You can have RNG, just not too much. It's kind of like playing War- you can't control it, so you won't take it seriously. Ranked is supposed to be taken seriously. Champ selection is 50% of the game.

Sometimes even if you have better players on your team, you still can't win with a shitty team comp.
