Ranked ARAM (lets talk about it again)
Im sure Im not the first one to suggest this... I just want to know if there is some logical reasoning behind not adding ranked ARAM to the playable options.
We have ranked 3v3 on twisted treelines... it rarely gets the same esports coverage or major recognition as the 5v5 map, so I cant imagine that would be the justification behind not making ranked ARAM.
In fact... the way I see it... ranked ARAM would add a whole new perspective to the competitive scene. We all know there are countless high ELO players who are basically one trick ponies. They always role the same champ... same position... and if they dont get their role, they dodge (i myself fell victim to this when I climbed the ranks a couple seasons back). Sure its a testament to the mastery of a champion... but imagine the level of skill required to master ALL champions in ANY given team comp? ARAM ranked would insist that players have a minimum number of champions (maybe even all of them). This would ensure fair champion pools, and inadvertently reserve the availability of this game type to only those who have invested a great deal into this game already. The matchmaking alone because of this factor would help prevent smurfs or casual players from plaguing the system. Speaking as a community member and high ranking CSGO player, I can honestly say that this community could benefit from taking notes from how Valve responds to community ideas. ARAM itself, was the result of RIOT showing value in its community desires... Lets take it one step further!
Again, on a skill level, it would give valuable feedback on the level of skill an individual might have in terms of team fights utilizing any champion, in any given team comp. The best of the best players might even attest that ANY current champion can be successful in the right hands... now lets actually see it!
Ive been playing this game since the beta, and the thing I enjoy the most is the high level of team coordination in mass fights. I value quick games, with intense precision. ARAM speaks to me on a personal level. We have one of the largest communities in all of gaming. In the past, my forum posts have received honest and respectable responses from the RIOT team, and I can only hope that this idea is given very serious consideration... (if it hasnt already...which im sure it has...again... lol)
