Marauder Warwick - Warwick Model good enough for new skin?

When I heard that Warwick was (in probably 2016) getting an overhaul on how he looks, I was super happy. But then Marauder Warwick shows up on the PBE and I start to question - is he not getting that much of a touch up? I know a long time ago Rioters were looking for feedback on how new WW should look (and personally, I think they should follow Fenrir from Smite's model. Its FERAL Warwick for a reason ....except when hes not running on all fours.) and I thought that champs wouldn't get new skins if their rigs were too outdated to be touched? I could be completely wrong though...
