Champion Unlock Tokens

Riot should implement champion unlock tokens. The struggle of getting champions that you want when you are a fresh account is so frustrating that I can guarantee some new players are turned off from the game because of this. I was thinking that you should get a token to unlock any champion in the store every 3 levels until you hit level 30 (Maybe even not allowing a purchase for a champion that costs 1350 IP or less so new players don't feel bad later on using their tokens on these). Doing this would ease the problems for a lot of new players and allow someone to develop a decent champ pool once they hit level 30. Not to mention that it would also allow for someone to get a few rune pages developed (or more champions) with the IP that they didn't have to spend on the expensive champions they liked/thought looked awesome because lets be honest here, the badass champs are usually expensive.

Update: I got my girlfriend to try out league and she didn't like starting from scratch because honestly its annoying to save up for any champ above 1350 when you start out. She has seen some Zed videos and thinks he has gotta be the first champ she gets (I advised her against it of course cause Zed and new players should never be put together but whatever the point of the game is for fun). I also told her she will need 15,375 IP for two basic rune pages so she isn't at an extreme disadvantage when she is level 30. After she heard that she didn't want to play anymore unless we were playing together (I'm not making her do it alone, I also made a new account so she isn't going to go through hell by herself, IKR I'm such a gentleman). After a few games and barely any IP gained this whole champ unlock token idea came to me. I think a good portion of new accounts are either players like my girlfriend, who has someone guiding her a little bit, or players like myself with knowledge about the game already. Basically the majority of new players have some idea of how the game works and what they want to do because League as a game is very popular. I just wanted to give a little more of my thoughts and some context for why I think this should be implemented. Also sorry for the way in which this whole thing is written/worded I am not the best at putting words together. Thanks for taking the time to read this and please add your own thoughts.

Riot would never implement this. They would make less money from champion sales. Riot should make runes free, so new players dont have to grind for them.

Hextech Champion Shards are basically "Champion Unlock Tokens" with some luck involved. You can concentrate on saving for tier 3 Runes while getting Champion Shards to Enchant or Reroll.

They already do through hextech and have promotions to get free stuff (the riot kayle + the champ, same with Tristana, same with garen, I think there's one for Alistair and twitch too)

They actually already do... if you get three champ shards you can roll them into a permanent that you don't already role. Now you can't chose which champ you get, but it helps you get all champs unlocked faster.

I think it could work but it would also be bad because of smurfs getting their main champ quickly and destroying new players

I think there should be a way for new players to try to find champions they like, but it should be tied to selecting a role. Riot could set up a tutorial on the basics of team comps as soon as smite is unlocked, with something to get them to understand the basics of each role, then give them like 3 tokens to be used for one champ in each role. Then maybe 2 or 3 more tokens unlocked later for people still not satisfied.

10 free champs sounds like a bit much. I didn't know 10 champs until well after level 30, but I only owned 2 champs before 30- and that's just not enough.

Fun Fact, buying 3 Champ Shards to reroll into a random new champ costs less IP than a 6300IP Champ.

So if you only have 6300IP champs left, (Or if you're like me and own All of the champions) This is a lot more efficient

(I have 3 champ shards at all times just so I can instant-unlock the next champ)
