Unnamed character idea

So I was thinking about a character that can mimic abilities. Honestly IDK if it's a good idea but I'll leave it to you, riot.

So, at first level, you have your Q,W or E called mirrored talent, or something, and it copies an allied(or enemy if you are careful) Q,W or E ability. You would have to be in melee or short click range for it to work.

As you level, you can get abilities from different enemies and even mimic their ults. It would be meta changing and possibly broken but it's an idea. Passive is a mystery to me as well as name and story. I just wanted to get my idea out there. Let me know what you guys think.

Peace, The Gravedigger

This idea is quite interesting and excites me because it bares a vague resemblance to a champion concept I made earlier (can provide link if you want but it wasn't anything special). This sort of adaptable kit would be really cool, allowing the champion to fill any role on the team and adapt their skillset to suit as the game progressed. Two things that might work well with the concept, not that it really needs anything extra.

  1. The ability to take on form of target (sort of disguise thing)
  2. Interactions with minions and neutrals Your idea is a solid but simple concept I would love to see in the game.

It´s a interesting concept but not solid and simple. I even bet that it´s one of the first things that would come to mind by creating a concept. Anyway it´s not simple because you just can´t make him copy all abilities from the enemy (could he change those from enemy to enemy?; how are the abilities looking -> every ability has it´s own animation -> if you want to use Jinx´s ult then you need a big-ass rocket launcher). Also it would be boring if he copys all abilities -> it would feel like a mirror matchup. And it´s not solid because this type of concept could be easily be op or up with new champs

-> I consider Kayle a solid champion design -> she has clear strengths (high "ranged" magical and physical dps; waveclear; utility) -> she also has clear defined weaknesses (no mobility; no burst; squishy without her ult) -> her kit fits also her theme -> she isn´t that much dependent from other changes (new/removed/changed items; new/changed champions) ->if you look about her patch history, then you can see that she wasn´t changed that much/ or not changed at all and that she has a good/constant pick- and winrate, which mosten indicate of a solid concept -> the only weakness is that she lacks a bit of a unique/fun playstyle

I personally don't like "copy mechanics"

but if you manage to make a safe and balance system that work regardless of enemy champions type etc maybe it could work.

But i don't think it would be easy, no one really imagines the programing required to make the idea work.

I realize it would be difficult but i believe that it can be done. i also realize that maybe a mirror of every ability(Q,W,E and R) would be op and get boring. so maybe instead of coping all he just simply copies Ults? As for other abilities he/she could possibly take on a X-Man Rouge concept of draining power/life. Who knows tho. This is just an idea and Riot probably doesn't even realize this thread is here anyway. Just food for thought!

I imagine there'd have to be a cool down for how often they change, and they wouldn't be able to change shortly after using an ability. Imagine taking Amumu Q into a team fight and then all your abilities change..... lol

Overall I can't really see it working, though. And it would be a nightmare for the animation team. Literally every skin would be 3250rp.

I really don't think they should be able change really. Once you take the ability it would be permanent. Reasoning for this would be simply due to all his abilities being copies of others. He/She would be the MOST flexible champ ever in league. Being able to have multiple rotating abilities would just be too flexible.
