So, I am a support main who just recently hit 30. After playing a few ranked games I realize I suck hard and still have a lot to learn. So I was wondering if there was anyone who could possibly Duo with me and help me learn a bit. If you are interested message me. Thank you.

As a fellow Support Main, I can offer the following:

  • Study Vision Control, Wave Management, and Objective Control. These three "non-fighting" studies will expand your understanding of how League Works from the birds eye view. How you can manipulate small things to increase pressure, ect. Vision Control is considered Support's primary job through the whole game.

  • In Ranked, Be Champions You Know. Zyra and Karma are my favorite supports right now because I know that I will become "dangerous" enough after lane phase to not feel totally useless...unless we're getting destroyed, which does happen from time to time. By being someone you're strong with, it will aid everything you want to do.

  • Don't let one lost battle lose you the entire war. Simply put, you will make mistakes. So will your teammates. It is imperative that you plow through it and keep working. I like to use a line from Starship Troopers to describe this. "Everyone Fights. No One Quits."

  • You won't always mesh with your laner. It's solo queue. Miscommunication is the cause of most ills out here. If you're aggressive and your laner is passive, bad things can happen when you jump on an opportunity and they do not.

It is more likely not your skills that are lacking, but your knowledge. There are guys out here with tens of thousands of games under their belt who do know every champion, every kit, and every strategy. Over time, you will gain this naturally. The flow will become easier, and you will start to "see things coming" far more frequently. Mistakes will always happen (like throwing a Thresh Hook in a hilarious direction), but as long as you can keep your wits about you, it will get easier over time.

Playing ranked right when you hit 30, rookie mistake xd

Although I can't help you with your mechanics and game knowledge, here are a few tips from someone who was in your exact situation last year: -If you're going to play support, trust your team -Don't flame, just makes it worse and will make you feel like sh*t after the match ends -Treat ranked as just another queue, don't overthink it -Play more, you'll get the hang of it and you'll start climbing. -Don't expect a lot from your team, since you're most likely going to be placed Bronze-Silver

Just a side note, practice in Ranked 5v5 flex, and never play normals (unless you're going to play just for fun). I'll probably get some hate for this, but trust me, it'll prepare you for ranked more than a simple normal match.

Once you start winning in ranked, you'll get addicted and the feeling of a win gets better as you progress.
