Riven Poem

I like to browse online art galleries time to time and stumbled upon this image of Riven by beanbean1988 on Deviant Art. When I was younger I used to do an exercise of writing poems from pictures, and for some reason when I saw this a poem popped in my head. I wrote it down, figured this would be a good place for it. Nothing special or anything - just figured if I wrote it I might as well share it.

Face of Virtue Burned and gone Broken steel My only lover

Shameful pride My only home No sage nor king To call my keeper,

Face of Mercy What have I done? Bled this earth And slain my brothers

Built my worth From the battles I've won This is all I do There are none better

There are none better.
