Tutor section in game select to reduce the amount of smurfs in lower elo's
I'm suggesting a tutor section to reduce the amount of smurf accounts going to lower elo to be able to play a game that doesn't take sometimes hours to queue. My thought is to make it where there is one tutor per team. Thus allowing lower elo to get a chance to see how someone did something or specific tips about the game. Yes the time for champ select would have to be longer but short enough to allow the tutor who has a badge showing in the champ select to give instruction and or ask if everyone understands the plans for that particular game.
The tutors would be given a badge once they have achieved at least a diamond tier with team work banners or other banners acquired by getting these honors. Thus allowing them to queue as a tutor. The fact that they are given a tutor badge allows them to earn either LP or extra IP for being a tutor per game. Say for instance 1 LP per game for a loss and 2 LP for a win or some sort of derivative of this. Or 1 LP per win and no LP for a loss. Thus making it where they can earn LP for being a team leader. Then allowing the ones being tutored to give a specific type of honor to their tutor for the quality of instruction that they gave during the game and before the game.
I feel this will eliminate the drive of players who do have smurf accounts to be in lower elo ranked games. In reference of having people gift them rp or some other form of compensation for carrying them out of their specific tier. Bronze, Silver, Gold. etc...
I feel that smurfing is a problem that needs to be addressed in a way that eliminates the need for smurfing. And I believe this type of solution will do this in a manner that will benefit the whole community of league of legends players. Correct me if I'm wrong on this but higher elo players learning how to manage a team in a manner that creates team work between them all is a good thing. I feel it is.
